Easy plug and play! Turn up windows MIC level and then game on! Each in game handles the MIC differently, even OBS and Discord sound different. So just play with the settings till you get to what you like! Also to easily adjust the boom arm, loosen/tighten the screws. This MIC is super cardioic and reps my voice the best! My cardioic MIC's all fell short of this one!

Just getting into producing YouTube videos , I wanted to invest in upgrading my audio/desk space set up. I originally invested in a Blue Yeti and although it’s a great condenser starter microphone for an affordable price, there are some pit falls to it. Knowing nothing about microphones/audio or even video producing, everything has been a learning curve. Condenser microphones are very sensitive and will usually pick up every little sound. My blue yeti literally picks up the birds chirping from outside my house. From what I gather, condenser mics can be plugged into a computer or camera directly without the need for an audio interface. Dynamic microphones are less sensitive in that they block out all other noise but the sound going directly into it. Almost all dynamic microphones require an audio interface which can cost anywhere from $100 plus. So purchasing a dynamic microphone almost always will need to also purchase an interface like a Focusrite Scarlett Solo. This deity microphone is a dynamic mic but doesn’t require an audio interface to power it. It can be plugged right into your computer or camera, which is a huge plus! Never mind that this kit comes with a decent boom arm and in WHITE!! Which is impossible to find for both the mic and boom arm that’s a higher quality then the cheap white boom arms Amazon sells. When recording videos the white almost blends in and becomes less a focal point during recording then a black boom arm and black microphone in front of your face. It’s a great value for the price. I just received the microphone the other day and haven’t yet played around with it, but once I do I will update this review further.

Amazing mic! Beautiful and reliable. Great performance. The included morning for the arm is not great

I bought this microphone around 5 months ago and while it's not the highest quality microphone out there, it performs quite well for the price and is well suited for gaming and casual use. The sound quality is pretty good, and it captures my voice clearly and accurately without any noticeable background noise or distortion. The setup process is quick and easy, as the microphone came with all the necessary cables and a plug-and-play USB interface. It connects easily to my computer. The microphone itself has a bit of a weight to it, and is relatively compact, so it takes up minimal desk space. However, I did find the microphone stand to be somewhat of poor quality. It's made from plastic and is quite stiff, so it's difficult to adjust or reposition the microphone. The clamp part of the stand also broke after just a few months of use, making my microphone fall to my desk whenever trying to use it. I am now using tape to hold it up. It's disappointing that the stand broke so quickly. All in all, this microphone is a decent option for casual use and gaming, but it's not the highest quality microphone out there.

First, let me say I am by no means an audiophile or a sound engineer. This review is written from the perspective of someone that wanted to upgrade from a headphone/mic combo to something better. With that being said, this is a great kit to upgrade from a headphone/mic combo. I use this mainly for meetings, calls, and voice chats on Discord, Teams, Zoom, and Skype. I do occasional voiceover work, too. This microphone performs great at every task I use it with. Much better than my headphone and mic combo (Astro A40 TR with MixAmp Pro). Everyone I speak with has told me how much better I sound with this new mic. The Astro A40 TR were fine for what they were but they fell short when I tried using them for anything more than gaming. I sometimes play at night when everyone in the house is asleep so I tend to speak more quietly during those times. With the Astros, my friends had a difficult time hearing what I was saying most of the time because the Astros had a difficult time picking up what I was saying - even after messing with the microphone settings - because I have to speak lower than I would during the day. With the new mic, though, I am able to manipulate the analog gain knob on the side and I am clearly heard. Or I can just speak closer into the mic. It picks up everything I say - even my whispers if I want it to. I got the kit with the boom arm so that’s nice. It’s very user friendly and plug and play. Super easy to use. I 100% would recommend this microphone to anyone looking to upgrade from a headphone/mic combo or a cheap standalone mic. So, I only gave this kit a 4 star review and that’s due to the boom arm and some other minor nit picks. The boom arm is ok at best. It’s very wobbly and there’s a lot of play where the boom arm and desk mount connect. Also, I’ve already lifted the whole boom arm out of the desk mount twice because there’s nothing holding the boom arm into the desk mount. It just slides in there with no pin, friction, lock, or anything else to keep it in place. One small nit pick I have with the microphone itself is that you have to turn the RGB lighting on manually every time you turn the computer back on. If the boom arm functionality is a huge issue for you, then get the kit that comes with the small desk stand and is $30 cheaper and get you a better boom arm. A word of advice for those new to these types of mics: the gain knob is very useful but also annoying if you don’t know how to compensate. For example: I have the gain at about 70% constantly. This means I can speak from about a foot away and it’ll still pick up what I’m saying. The downside is that it picks up more background noise. In apps like discord, if you play with “voice activity” instead of push to talk, this can get annoying as the increased gain will constantly trigger your discord to transmit since it hears all the background noise so clearly. To fix this, you can decrease discord’s sensitivity. It requires a little trial and error and messing around but once you got it dialed in you won’t ever have to touch it again.
