Q: can it be custom to fit a hole 30" hi x 18 3/4 "wide

I bought this and had to cut the horizontal leg with my sabre saw. The horizontal flange is 2.5" long going towards the top og the opening and 1.5" long going towards the back of the opening.The vertical legs have 1.5" x 1.5" flange. I measure the middle of the width of my opening and cut the horizontal flange of the frame so the split in the frame ended up in the center of the opening. So as long as you are able and willing to cut the horizontal frame and inserting it as a two piece part yes it will work. MY frame ended up 25.25" wide x 35.5" long. The vertical length received was 35.5" which is slightly longer than the 35" listed. I used a silicone seal to hide the split in the frame (you can still see it) but it looks OK. I used a "concrete" in a caulking tube I bought at Lowe's to install the frame in the opening.

This frame worked great for this refrigerator. My cutout was in rock so it created a custom fit look.
