How to Go Out on a Date in Queens

A friend asked me "how was the Jeremy Renner old movie marathon going and specifically, what about the movie, Monkey Love?". Well, I replied, "I have two words for this movie, 'student film', no four words, 'badly filmed student film'." It looks like its shot with a 16mm hand held and it was, I think. The storyline is a bit lean as well... As is the dialog. But, it does have its moments. The girl's voice over is good. And, it has some good actors...Jeremy Renner (The Hurt Locker, The Town, Bourne Legacy, Avengers,,etc.) and Seamas Dever (Castle) as the two guys. At one point, the DVD (btw, this is only available on DVD) audio and video were out of sync for one scene...it didn't make much difference. If you want to see a young Jeremy Renner, watch it, otherwise, don't bother. I'm glad I didn't spring for the Unrated version by itself on a DVD...I only paid $9 for three movies on this one DVD.

i just watched this movie. it uses a very talented cast to its best advantage. i have never understood why rob estes is not a bigger star than he is and this film spotlights his strengths. his breakdown scene is controlled and very honest in its pain. jason alexander finally does something that does not seem a variant of his "george" character. kimberly willams-paisley certainly moves light years away from the FATHER OF THE BRIDE daughter. allison eastwood brings a weary womanliness that lends depth to her character. the rest of the cast is also superior, adding tics and quirks to their characters that make them unique and not cliched. the direction is crisp and the pacing flows smmoothly with each story. the comic slant on what could be deadend lives makes the lessons learned believeable and not forced. the only reason i didn't rate this a five is i keep that rating for a classic

It is about average for movies on Amazon Prime. As compared to normal movies it is nearly the worst movie I have ever seen.

I haven't watched any of the other movies on this DVD, but Monkey Love has now reached one of my favorites. It's corny, but sweet. Jeremy Renner plays such a lovable character, I can't help but watch it over and over again.

so this is a very low budget film but jeremy renner is great in everything the other two actors were good. the plot was cute and yeah jeremy renner is hott and awesome the only reason i watched it really

I bought this for Monkey Love, Jeremy Renner is Amazing in this role. The other two movies were pretty good too.

expected better

I have yet to receive my copy of this video. According to the tracking, it was processed in early October, but I have not received it yet. I am really not impressed with this type of service.
