Initially bought one because I was having hot spells at night (not menopause, but same feeling I am guessing). Worked great so I bought a couple for outdoor activities during heat of the day…cooling your neck makes an immediate and noticeable difference in full body temp. I keep a tiny “cosmetics refrigerator” by my bed so I have access to immediate cooling without getting up.

This became something that I used daily during the hotter summer months. I found myself having hot flashes when I was getting ready for work and this really helped to keep me cool down and not ruin my makeup while trying to dress.

I thought no way was this not going to be too cold on the skin but for the price I’ll give it a shot for my hot flashes. Well it’s NOT too cold on the skin… for REAL and it gets cold again so fast! LOVE IT! Need to order more!

First off, I received mine in terrible condition. Interior packaging was totally busted up and the tube was filthy with grease. I washed it off with dawn detergent and popped it into the fridge.When it turned white (let's not call it frozen), I figured that was all the time it needed. The tube looks and feels fragile, but was not leaking or difficult to manipulated onto my neck. While it barely felt cool to my fingers, I did feel some coolness to my neck for about 5 minutes.Next, I tried freezing it for approximately 30 minutes. This still did not feel cold to my hands, but did feel refreshing on my neck. It stayed cool for about 45 minutes while indoors.I attempted to cool it in a glass of ice water, which did not have any results for me other than warming up my ice water faster.Ultimately, I will keep this. I will use it to try and reduce our AC bill. I am always hot when everyone else feels fine. I have used ice-ball necklaces, cooling scarfs, and minifans to get relief. I can't recommend this for dealing with outdoor heat, but I think it works just fine to take the edge off a sweaty moment. It would also bring gentle relief for a fever or sunburn without being too cold.
