Ceramic Square Handle Coffee Mug, Made in USA, Cobalt Blue, 17 oz - Pack of 2

The handle is cool. The lip is thick. The color is to die for. Its function serves. It keeps drinks warm for long. It's properly glazed, and they're made in USA. I could want nothing more. They're the best mugs in the world, I read some bad reviews and took them to heart at first--nothing ever survives the shipping trips to me but these cups did. They're so great. Why aren't all cups this great? I had these in my cart for over a year and thought "these are a little expensive for cheap me" and no they're worth the price, they're damn awesome. I love my mugs! :) They're the coolest!

These are the best mugs I've ever owned. Very high quality, solid and sturdy. Very comfortable to hold, which is what I mainly wanted. They are on the larger side and hold more liquid than the average mug, a plus for me, though some people might prefer a smaller mug. Beautiful glaze. Overall excellent purchase.

These mugs are wonderful! the are large, 12 oz.. thick, perfect handles , so you can easily fit as many fingers as you want to hold and carry the mug. One of the best features is that they keep the contents HOT! We LOVE them!

Like most considering these mugs, I was initially excited to find an American product free from harmful manufacturing processes. However, upon receiving my purchase, I found one mug to have some serious glazing defects in the base. I was disappointed that such a costly item would not have more thorough quality control, but I was not too concerned. Afterall, I seriously liked the mugs and thought the company would surely want me to be a happy customer. After two unsuccessful attempts to reach the company to handle the matter (partial refund or new item), I resorted to returning the entire package. Reading other reviews, quality control seems to be an issue and I would not recommend purchasing these as it is mostly a crap shoot. I REALLY want to support USA made, safe, and quality goods and am willing to pay for them. Such a shame that this company got 2 out of 3 but failed on quality. I give the product 2 stars since I did really like the one good mug. I subtract two stars for the one damaged mug and one star for the inconvenience the company put me through by having to repackage and return these items via a shipping store. That negates the whole purpose of Amazon in my opinion! My recommendation...look for USA made glass mugs since these are the only game in town as far as ceramic goes.

I really love a lot about this mug. It is Nade in the USA which sold me right away. I also love the square handle it is easier to hold. But I bought it because it says 17oz. Maybe that is the weight of the mug, because it does not hold 17oz of coffee. I was only able to get 12oz of coffee in the mug. So unless I got a smaller than usual mug or it weighs 17oz, the description is misleading. Still a great mug though

Like many, I'm a huge coffee lover since around 15 years ago when my wife told me to stop getting caffeine from diet soda (too many chemicals). I use a burr grinder to make fresh coffee every morning. I use a vintage Farberware Superfast percolator or vintage GE Immersible percolator (both last forever and make great coffee), and I really love my coffee ritual, including a nice large mug. However, I was stunned to see that 99% of coffee mugs are laden with lead and cadmium and that over time mugs expose you to more and more of these dangerous particulates. So I bought both borosilicate glass coffee mugs and now American Mug Pottery. I love these. They've been tested to be free of lead and cadmium and they have a nice heavy build quality. 17 ounces is a good size. I'd buy 23 ounces if they had one, but for now, I'm enjoying the peace of mind of drinking from a lead-free mug. Mine arrived professionally packed with no cracks. Highly recommended.

These are actually well-made, well-constructed mugs. I like them. However they were sold as 17 oz. mugs. My "17 oz." mugs hold just under 12 oz. My fault for not reading the reviews. True I expect more accuracy from a brand "Made in America" Very disappointing from a company boasting "American made" I suppose I will look for another brand that can deliver the 17 oz.

If you're concerned with lead and/or cadmium leeching into your system during your morning coffee (like I was), look no further. These mugs are a creamy ivory color and gorgeous in person, plus they're super comfortable to hold with the larger square-shaped handles. I love that this pottery is manufactured in Ohio because it's damn near impossible to find anything that isn't made in China. I hope this company branches out in the future to expand their product line because I would love to buy some matching cereal bowls and dinner plates...
