Item small but does good job

Like the title says, avoid like the plague. Due to the new legislation, I did extensive research and arrived at these being the best product to buy. I compared reviews and figured a few negative is typical. I have installed alarms before and I am generally handy so figured these would be a piece of cake (I am not some silly girl unable to read a set of instructions correctly). They arrived well packaged with clear instructions.Unfortunately, those instructions do not work when you have faulty items. I have paired/unpaired these several times (around 20 if I'm honest). I have used the included instructions and video tutorials just in case I am doing something wrong. THESE DO NOT INTERLINK.Thankfully, I picked an item on Amazon that states "free returns", simple right? Well, this is a lie. I contacted customer service who are atrocious. I explained these were faulty, asked for a refund and advised I would not be bothering with a customer service number. I have a 5 month old and I do not have time to go through set up to arrive at an already confirmed conclusion.This was their response (pictured). I now either have to pay for a refund (despite Amazon saying this is free) or go through the hassle of customer service crap. A headache that I really do not need at the moment. I'm so surprised - I have returned plenty of items before for various reasons and have never experienced this.If you want a guarantee that you can return these simply if they don't work or that you can install them yourself, don't buy these. Wish I had known beforehand. Wish me luck whatever I decide to do.
