Great book, the author clearly knows his stuff!!!I'm going to test out a few programs on my s7-1200 set up ASAP and I do really like how the author showed how to do things properly, like setting up a a flow chart first for what the client wants, documenting the process and good practices.Being more engineer than programmer biased, I found the languages and HMI programming more interesting but I do appreciate that this book is not just aimed at us, but also at programmer's who may never have seen a plc before.

This book is one of the best books based on Tia if it’s not the best. This guy is an expert, this informations are priceless and the whole content is on a different level. It doesn’t stands on programming skills and tricks, it’s very fair because everyone has its own way and style but for sure i can say that you will learn all the basic and expert tools that will help you for better, smarter, deeper and well organised program. Also you will deep learn Tia like no other book or tutorial can offer you.

A brilliant book!!!1st class content, full of useful information which is straight to the point.Well worth having for anyone just getting started with TIA Portal and PLCs.Also a valuable resource if you are familiar with Siemens PLCs.A highly recommended purchase!!!

I've seen many tutorials and books that show you how to add some tags and create a basic program but this really pulls out all those hidden gems in TIA portal and written by someone who is a real practicing engineer too. The real world is full of unique problems and the knowledge form this book will help on any project.The only reason for the 4 star rating is that the paperback version isn't in colour. If you use the 'look inside' feature on Amazon you can see that it's greyscale. There are a few reasons why this is important but it surrounds customer expectations and how that has been presented and communicated.The colour images are downloadable as a pdf, which suggests it might be useful and I believe it is in this case, especially when exploring new topics away from the daily grind of your laptop. The kindle version may be a better option.

Only just downloaded but looks a great guide for those new to Siemens but also advanced users
