Easy to clean
I use these in my pond filter. They do a great job. Best of all they are easy to clean. I split into separate bags so I could put into my filter and also in my waterfall. It has made it easier to keep my water clear and running. Take out the bag and rinse off, done! One of my best buys for keeping filter running longer between cleanings. I can take bag out and clean periodically which has helped greatly as I don’t have to clean complete filter system as often.

Nice quality and great size/quantity for the price
I use these mostly to fill pump bags in my koi pond to keep the bags from sticking to the impeller cages, and making them a supplementary part of the filtration system in the process. But for use as your main bio-balls, these are pretty great for the money.

Fish pond filter
Have the ribbon type filter also in the filter - these are easy to clean and add to the filter system.

Durable and effective
Pond is much clearer since I added these. The first bio balls that I bought had little plastic nubs that would break off all over the place. These do not break.10/10 Will buy again.

Great bioballs for my freshwater aquarium
Great media for nitrifying bacteria in your fresh (or saltwater) tanks. One 300 balls bag is enough to fill a bioball compartment in a wet/dry filter.

Clean Koi pond
I purchased 4 bags of the 1.25” balls for my 19” converted pool sand filter used for a Koi pond. It filled the unit up and after 2 days the water is crystal clear. Flow rate is much higher and backflushing about once a week or two. Very happy with them.

They float but seem to work well
They do float yes but if u have other older media bags or sponges to weigh it down they work fine. My 190 gal cycled in around 10 days and has been running for over a month now issues.
