V11 trigger broke so purchased this item. The item itself is 5/5 it does what it should and is slightly stronger than the OEM part due to an extra long rib.First issue with this part is it was a pain to replace, as you literally have to strip the hoover down to it's bare parts and the trigger is the very last accessible part of this process, and you do have to bend some metal contacts which isn't ideal, so be careful and follow and good Youtube tutorial on it.When I actually got down to the trigger and extracted it from the handle, I could see tha the trigger had split in a totally different place to the stronger ribbing, thus the new trigger is as vulnerable to the OEM one in this area, hence why if I had to do it again I would choose metal as you don't want to be doing this process a second time really.However, it does what it says - hoover back up and running inside 30 minutes.

Could not do this with tools I had at home. All my screwdrivers were too wide, or not long enough. These were perfect length and width for what is needed. Not the strongest tools, and might be a one time use, but for the price, more than acceptable.The trigger was a nice bonus, as I was planning to just glue the broken one, now I have a new in the dyson and the broken one as a backup. Would 100% recommend.

Like so many, I bought this to repair an expensive product which failed because of a poorly designed trigger in the original Dyson V11. The replacement looks identical to the original, but on close inspection, you can see that the replacement has extended a re-enforcing strip to cover the place where the original broke. The addition of the tools needed is a nice touch for anyone with limited access to a full tool box..The repair worked and the vacuum cleaner is working again. A very inexpensive part, better than the original.This is the first time I've opened a Dyson. Not too complicated but a couple of tricky manouvers needed to remove the trigger assembly from the casing. (You'll need a long nosed pliars to bend the power lugs inside).Opening the vacuum cleaner shows just how focused Dyson is in making these things as cheaply as possible. Probably not what I would have expected from an expensive machine, and definitely gives me pause to buy another one. I guess it says everything I need to know that there are so many after market spares from third parties.

Useful instructions can be found on the internet about the fitting of this part, but can still be a challenge for the non confident DIYer.Early days yet but this replacement part seems just as fragile as the original. Surely, by now, a stronger replacement should be available as this, by all accounts, is the ‘Achilles heel’ of the Dyson V10/V11 machines.The kit is however great and includes all the tools necessary to replace the broken part; that in itself is a bonus, making the kit excellent value for money.

Very good quality

As most reviewers have noted, not the easiest job to carry out, but if you find one of the better of many videos on youtube and follow it carefully, should be fine. Yes the tools supplied are unsurprisingly not top quality, but they do the job and if you buy a specialist set you need to spend around 3 times the total cost of this item. The new switch itself didn't look much different to the existing switch, but as long as it lasts a reasonable time, not really an issue now I know how to change it. Overall a very satisfying hours work and a fully functioning Dyson at the end.

This is repair kit is needed to fix broken trigger in dyson v11 vacuum cleaner . Quality...dont know yet lets see how long it will last but manged to fix the issue for now.
