Excellent value and happy with the product. I bought the 1.1LB bag in March 2026 and received a bag with an expiration date of Feb 28. The bag is vacuum sealed and compressed into a hard brick, but once opened, it's your regular granular yeast. The yeast performed beautifully, producing a wonderful loaf of bread. I make my bread in the bread maker with 2.5 cups of wheat flour, 3/4 cup of rye flour, and 2 teaspoons of dry instant yeast.

This bag is massive and will probably outlive me at this point. I only use about half a teaspoon for a few decent sized baguettes so it barely makes a dent. Works beautifully though and gives great rise every time. Just remember to get it to room temp. I keep mine stored in a Pyrex in the fridge and it stays fresh. For the price it is honestly a steal considering how long it lasts. Tastes soooo good.

Convenient -- keep the leftovers in the freezer in a well-sealed plastic container. Much less expensive than individual packets. Quality is good, it works as well as other brands.

Wonderful yeast, made so much bread and pastry with it, never fails to rise. I keep extras in the fridge in sealed container to keep the yeast in sleep mode until use. Great quality yeast. Very happy with it.
