Gave it as a gift
I bought this for my son. His ancient Subaru died and he got an older, small-to-midsized, 4 wheel drive pick up truck to replace it, just before Christmas. A Ranger, maybe? He needed a new way to haul all his bikes. He'd made some racks especially for the Suby that weren't transferable. Unfortunately, this didn't arrive until after Christmas, so I wasn't able to see it in action for myself. I guessed on the tailgate size based on looking up specs. He was pleased with it - it fit the tailgate with a little room to spare, was easy to install, seemed beefy enough, he loved the tool pocket, and thought the unit would be easy to clean. But he didn't have any bikes with him that day, and I haven't remembered to ask how it works. My rating is based on my concern that that anyone could cut the straps that wrap it around the tailgate and remove the whole thing, even if the bikes are locked to the mat. It doesn't seem like there is a way to prevent that with this style of bike hauling. My son said that someone going that far to steal the bikes is probably a long shot, especially if he has them all locked together - they'd be a big awkward mass to try and move. I don't know. His bikes are more important to him than his vehicle and he can't afford to replace them. He says if he gets really worried about that, he will weld some tie-downs to the bed of the truck to lock the bikes to, and then it doesn't matter if the mat thingy gets stolen.Lol. This is likely just another episode of The Worries of Mommy, is all.

Perfect for my Canyon
The rack is awesome and fits my Canyon perfectly. It was a bit tricky at first to install, but just took a minute to figure it out. Easy on and easy off and holds my bikes securely. The window allows me to use my backup camera. Looks great and protects my truck.

Perfect Fit for the Jeep Gladiator
This tailgate pad was a perfect fit for my 2021 Jeep Gladiator, install was straight forward and the overall quality was great. This pad lives permanently in the bed of the truck always ready to be used.my only note would be to shrink the clear portion of the pad for the backup camera as the Gladiators backup cam is a little lower than others, this would at times cause the pad to obstruct the view but nothing that wasn't fixable with some adjusting

Tricky Install. Short straps
2022 F150. As you can see from the photos, very short straps. Fits, but barely. Tough to get mounted by yourself. Probably easier with 2 people. One person in the bed to grab the straps as they are pushed under the tailgate. I was able to do it alone by removing clips and using double sided tape to keep the strap pinned under then pull through. Not a great fit for road bikes but it should work. Need to stabilize the rear wheels and frame with bungees, etc. Definitely not something you can easily put on and take off. It will stay there until the weather turns. Does the job but not great. Tip: Remove the clips to thread the straps then after you have pulled through the tailgate crease, rethread. I did one at a time. Might be able to do multiples.

Nice value for what you get
Good value for the money. Simple to put on my 2017 Chevy Colorado. Still can use back up camera, still have access to use tailgate handle. Took couple of minutes to do. Not sure about people saying need instructions etc. Pretty self explanatory. Put over tailgate, pass straps thru with tailgate tilted, snap connectors, and that is it. Clear plastic to outside bed for camera. Nothing to it. Good buy, enjoy.
