I am replacing a Rainbird wifi sprinkler.I dont know why I decided to try a raibird when I had so much luck with Orbit. This Controller is fantastic. It is so easy to set up and the connection by wifi is 100x faster than the rainbird. Setting stuff up on the App is pretty easy but is taking a little to learn the difference from the Rainbird. I decided to buy the Orbit Box that has the GFCI plug in it for extra protection from the Phoenix sun and it fit well. Its a pretty good sized controller. Its only been 2 months so I havent had much reason to complain. My neighbor also has this controller and loves it.

Replaced a Hunter sprinker controller with this Orbit. The Hunter would not reliably connect to internet and would forget date / time on power outage.The orbit connected easily to the internet and retains the date / time on power outage.

This unit was purchased as a replacement for a 16 zone Moen, that had repeated faults that Moen, so far, is unable to fix. I got tired of receiving "lost connection" alerts from the Moen unit so I replaced it with this one. So far so good. It integrated seamlessly with my existing 6 zone unit and now I can control the entire watering process from one App. The only hiccup was that the Orbit unit only recognized 6 out of my 16 zones, so I had to call their customer service to add the other 10 zones. It is a strange bug in their software, but once they manually added the zones, they all work great.

Easy to install. Love that you can access everything on your smartphone. Highly recommend this product
