This really is a great laptop (beautiful design and screen, above average keyboard) with only one downfall- the hard drive. Keep an eye on your task manager and you will quickly see that the hard drive is the bottle neck for speed. I put in a Samsung 500gb SSD and now it really flies!

Solid for its purpose.
This laptop is beautifully designed. light up keyboard, windows 10, really slim and lightweight. At the beginning when you turn it on it may seem a little slow, but just remove some of the unnecessary (to you) programs and it should just fine. You should be aware that this is not a gaming laptop but ideal for browsing and multimedia entertainment. Also it has stereo Bluetooth. I will probably invest in a keyboard cover. The keyboard seems like a stain magnet. Overall I'm pleased and you probably will too.By the way I thought the asus logo lights up behind it, it doesn't a little bummed but whatever lol.

Highly Recommended
Computer is sleek but comes with a god awfule Seagate tractor puller HDD. Switched it out with a WD Black drive and going to put a M.2 and SDD later on next year to speed up booting times. Otherwise, this is more than enough for the college student or non business professional. Very well priced and good looking laptop. Always been a fan of ASUS, even though their customer service lacks

Falling apart already, just like first my ASUS. New SSD, now way fast.
I have the Q504U with the same components as this one. Not sure of the differences or is it the same computer? It was decent at first. With each successive windows update it got slower and slower. In fact, it's(was) unusable during updates. Less than a year since purchasing, the hinge separated from the plastic casing. Figures. First ASUS did that too, except the hinge itself broke. Now after a year of ownership, I replaced the terrible HD with a 240gig SSD, and the thing is insanely fast. I hit the logon screen in 10 seconds easy. It's evil fast for the price range. But the screen case is still splitting at the hinges. I like the design of ASUS's. But not the craftsmanship at this point. Other pluses include the keyboard backlighting and the great crisp screen colors.
