Why Him?

Reading the reviews, I see several people were upset with the "graphic language." It's rated R for "strong language and sexual material throughout." They knew what they were renting/buying so that's on them. Laird, despite being ridiculously wealthy, is a genuine, honest, and thoughtful person. I found him to be completely delightful. Yes, there's a bit of predictability, sophomoric humor, sexual antics, and there's a lot of general silliness, but it's a comedy: An R rated comedy. I saw it in the theaters and I bought a copy to watch from time to time. I find it to be a real spirit lifter (which comes in really handy these days).If you want a silly laugh with some charming, wholesome characters, this should be a good fit. If you're offended by F-bombs, sexual innuendo, and 1500 gallons of elk piss (it's part of an art piece), you're not going to like it.

My husband and I found this a very humorous movie, especially my husband. He has watched this movie multiple times and still has a good laugh at it. Not appropriate for children, definitely an adult movie.

I watched an "edited" version of this movie on a flight recently and it was hilarious. However, the unedited version is even more hilarious. Now, if you're offended by "foul" language, this movie is not for you. I was laughing out loud on the plane and other passengers wanted to know what I was watching so they could laugh too. Soon, there were about 20 of us watching it and laughing out loud. I loved that part. Laughing is so good for all of us. If you're ok with "language" and get over that, there are so many things that are funny in this movie!

Among the funniest and most entertaining movies I have seen in the last 10 years. NOBODY does fish-out-water comedy better than Brian Cranston, and nobody does the likable d-bag better than James Franco. Megan Mulally is her usual funny sexy self, and Zoey Deutch is simply adorable. This is a dream cast, attractive and full of talent. The movie is sweet and funny, and almost a retelling of It's A Wonderful Life. It works as a Christmas movie, and also stands alone as an odd-couple style comedy. It will be in my Christmas movie rotation with A Christmas Story and Christmas Vacation, but I also find myself re-watching it at other times of the year too.

I really enjoyed the movie and there were tons of funny parts, but the language was crazy bad. I think it would’ve been just as funny without most of the language, even coming from a person that uses curse words more often than I should. (Working on not using-lol!)

My husband and I watched this as our "date night" movie and we honestly loved it. I didn't understand why it had such a short run at the box office when it first came out but after watching I have a better understanding. It is rated "R" because of all the cursing ~ honestly it is a little over the top. However, not once do you actually see a naked body part. Crud humor yes, but nothing that even comes close to X or double XX as some people are saying. If the cursing had been kept to a minimum and this had received a PG-13 rating I feel it would have done better on the big screen. I think it will do just fine now in aftermarket. Jonah Hill is one of the writers with Ben Stiller and James Franco as two of the producers. So if you're a fan of these people, and we are, then you will love this movie !!

Such a funny movie. Love this for adult Christmas time after the kids are asleep. It's really funny we love it!
