Superior quality squat shoes at a much lower price
I've been using these shoes now for about 6 months, squatting twice or three times a week, and I'm very happy with thems. I'd say they're a higher quality squatting shoe than the worn out Adipowers they replaced for me at 1/4 the cost (I paid $50 for these on sale v. $200 for the Adipowers at the time I bought them in 2017 and latest models are more expensive than that). The higher heel height v. most powerlifting aimed squat shoes isn't especially noticeable to me, so it creates no balance issues or any general sorts of issues with just walking around, but mechanically I'm pretty sure it has to be making it easier for me to hit full depth with my less than optimally flexible ankles. These shoes are also quite comfortable around the body of them. And they've proven very durable, look pretty much brand new still after six months. The only issue I've had with them, as other reviewers have mentioned, is that in one of the shoes of the pair the insole came disconnected soon after buying them and was shifting around in a very annoying way. But this was extremely easy to fix. I just applied some cheap Elmer's type glue of the sort you use in elementary school arts and crafts class to the bottom of the insole and stuck it back in the shoe, and I've had zero problems with it since; it's stayed durably glued in place after that one application of the weakest, cheapest glue there is (which obviously raises the question of why Nordic Power doesn't just stick a little more glue on at the factory so this issue doesn't come up).

Excellent quality at an affordable price
These shoes can handle heavy lifts with ease, and I totally recommend them.I've been using these for 5 months and can confirm the quality is superb, no signs of deformation or wear either at the soles or the top.I wasn't expecting this much to be honest, specially given how cheaper they are compared to, say, Nike Romaleos. They are true to size, and wide enough to accomodate my wider-than-average feet. The only downside you might find is, if you're like me, the lack of any sort of cushioning at the sole level takes some time getting used to because these aim more at giving you total connection with the floor, which comes at a cost. All in all, super recommended, will buy again if these (ever) wore out.

Great fit. Heel lift huge boon for quad-focused squats
The fit was excellent. They feel snug but comfortable. I did my first squat session with them today and it was a game changer. Ive always needed a wide stance to hit full depth, but with heel lift, I can focus my quads much better with a narrower stance while still hitting full depth.

Good show that could be better
For the money it is a sturdy and well made shoe. Wore them for 2 hours at the gym with no discomfort and forgot I had a wedged heel shoe on. Squats felt great and the sole grips the floor firmly so I can get that good external hip rotation in my stance. They will absolutely help a squatter keep their chest up more. The toe box is too small in my opinion. It's exactly the same width as my Chucks. It could be opened up a good 3/4's of an inch. also, the largest size is a 12 in mens. That's inexcusable frankly. I am normally a 12 1/2 - 13 so fortunately the 12 did with no discomfort although it is snug. But Nordic should offer a size at least up to 13 in US mens.

Great shoes! Helps a lot to prevent lower back collapsing and pain.
Short summary: Love the shoes. Resolved lower back pain that developed in a long time lifter. I am a size 11 EEEE in new balance. Size 11.5 EE in Asics. These size 12s are a little narrow and long, but I only wear them in the squat rack and they work well.Longer:For decades I have just squatted in whatever shoes I wore to the gym.Worked my way up to 405x2 in new balances, but definitely noticed sloppiness in the foot due to the foam being squishy and unsupportive at those weights. It was a challenge to keep the weight on the heel since the heel was squishy and I would start to toe squat at depth. So I started squatting barefoot, since that should have been great for stability and force, but I started to notice that my lower back would round in the “butt wink” pattern at the bottom of the lift. As you can see in the photo I do no have mobility issues getting deep into the squat, but this lower back rounding was a new issue and caused serious lower back pain to the point where I had to take 3 months off squatting multiple times. It never occurred to me that going barefoot and keeping my heels down was causing my lower back rounding and pain, but once I identified that as the problem I sought these shoes out due to their high heel stack and wider toe box.I feel better than ever and would recommend these to everyone.I only wear them for squatting and still arrive and leave the gym wearing normal shoes to prevent unnecessary use.

The very best workout shoe.
What a great workout shoe. Made a big difference in the squat & leg press, especially when your leg pressing over 1000 Lbs pounds, in which I did for clean 10 reps. Could not handle or do that weight if I had ordinary gym shoes on or wearing a sneaker. This workout shoe prevented my foot and ankle to bow or to slant outwards. I want to buy another pair they are that comfortable and strong in support.
