I taped the power button down, placed over a ground bee hole (YELLOW JACKETS). Seen done on You Tube. Worked great, but the battery's don't last. Tied a string on to remove and replace new battery's. Was in a flower garden, and it did not kill my Wife's Plants.

Yes! Size D batteries version is the only way to go on this, as I've tried both. The zap, the flash of light is so very satisfying. Every time my daughter heard the successful 'snap' of a critter being neutralized she howls with laughter. So very proud :-)

I ordered a large 20 in fly swatter using DD batteries and I got a swatter that looks like a toy, using AA batteries that dont even work. I want my money back. I am not paying $45 for that crap. I am a very unhappy and dissatisfied customer.

Misleading description; this takes AA batteries not D. This is another cheap bug torturer; if you hit a bug with this you'll need to hold it like a frying pan and zap it repeatedly to kill it. Very disappointing.

We had previously bought an electric fly swatter that took "D" batteries. It worked well. We ordered another that was supposed to take "D" batteries but received one that takes "AA" instead. It does not work at all.
