Great quality product. Comes in a protective case with the tripod attachment. Delivered very quickly. I had a brain-freeze when looking at how to use with a detector and the support given was precise and almost immediate. I followed the instructions and everything works.I have used this extensively outdoors and have visibility with the naked eye at 25m but use the detector anyway.I would recommend to anyone who may use this outside as well as inside.Follow-up: I have used this for a few months now and I don't know how I got on without it. I have used it to lay wooden floor boards, ensuring a straight run across a 15m room/hallway/room run. I have used it when building stables and out-buildings. The distance for reception is incredible. I can see it at 15m in any light outside, and I have used it at nearly 50m with the detector. I have seen some complaints with this item and others about battery life but I make sure to switch to horizontal or vertical depending on use and then only half the power is used. And I remember to switch it off as soon as I am finished. Batteries still haven't needed to be changed.

I realise this is a cheap and basic product and understand it will never be a Dewalt or Makita quality device.But please be aware that the description give by the seller is far from accurate. This machine is described as shock resistant and has passed a drop test of 1m. It’s shown being used by builders in work site environments.I knocked mine off of a coffee table 60cm or so high on to a laminate floor and it broke. 2 days after purchase (it hasn’t even been out of the house) The glass is this unit is cheap plate glass. Certainly not a device you would take to any of the locations shown in the advertising pictures.I would however be happy to recommend it’s use in padded or heavily carpeted areas!I’m now going to attempt to return it and pay out the extra for a well know brand’s quality product.

Firstly, the downside: it is a bit heavy on battery use but, in fairness, I am guilty of leaving it switched on for long periods whilst I am working. That aside, I am delighted with the laser level. I have been using it outside in very bright sunlight over the past couple of weeks (June 2018) and it is certainly bright enough to cope with the brightest sunlight over the distances I've been working at (10M+). I already have a Bosch red laser level which is not nearly so effective outside (which is why I thought I'd try the Huepar Green Laser). So far I'm delighted and wish I'd spotted this before I bought the more expensive Bosch, although if you do have a Bosch tripod (or in fact, any photographic tripod) you will find the screw thread is the same and can be used with the green laser. It comes with a small, green, plastic "sighting" card with 5mm graduations on it & this really helps highlight the laser line. However, I also have a "coated" set square with 1mm graduations on it and have found that this also reflects the green light very well. OK, at 10M 1mm graduations might be a case of "spurious" accuracy but I'm reassured by it.

Really looked forward to using this following the great reviews and researching laser levels for quite some time. Arrived, very excited, set it up great, the lock button was stiff which threw the pendulum out of whack to the angle I wanted but that wasn't a deal breaker. I was let down by the accuracy of the horizontal beam it was out by over quarter of an inch 1.1mtr from the crossbeam point. The vertical beam was spot on. Maybe I got a bad one but it was enough to go back to a spirit level.

I am very impressed with this little laser level. The last (very cheap) laser I had 10 years ago was useless: wildly out of level and totally un-repeatable. This Huepar is in a completely different league.Firstly, it seems to be as accurate as claimed in the specs. I have no specialist equipment, but checking against a plumb line, using the level in opposing directions and panning from side to side, I get better than the 2mm per 10m quoted and excellent repeatability. I think for most uses, this is plenty accurate enough. I will use it for kitchen layouts, wardrobe fitting, and tiling layouts.Secondly, it is bright. I mean really bright. I have the green version, and it is easily visible indoors across 15m. That is as far as I can check it, but this is a minimum. I imaging outside on a sunny day it might be different, but I think you could make it work with a bit of shade over the target. Line width at 15m is about 2.5mm but it is easy to define the centre of the line.Finally, the spread of the beam is very impressive. Placed in the corner of the room, you get a very clear horizontal line throughout. Placed in the centre of the room, it is not 180 degrees, but not far off with the majority of the area covered. If you place the unit with its back against a wall, you get a continuous line from 20mm in front of the unit, along the floor, opposing wall, ceiling, and down to about 1m above the laser. It actually projects behind itself!I cannot say anything about reliability, ruggedness or battery life as I only received it today, but I think it will suit my needs very well if I take care of it.
