B&P Lamp Threaded Shell with Ring Phenolic Socket | Easy to Install Replacement Lamp Socket

My switch was broken. I only needed the base and the socket. I did not use the two upper parts. I reusedthe one part remaining on my lamp which was not broken since I was not able to remove it. It worked perfectly. I now have a working lamp.

I read a lot of reviews because I actually didn't know what to buy and after reading that you have to measure the threaded post, that told me what I needed to know. If you are fixing a pole lamp and your turn switch comes through a hole at the top of the lamp, you will need to purchase a long turn switch because the one that comes with this socket is to short. If you have your old socket just use the turn switch from that one.

Arrived broken. I returned it for a refund, which went smoothly...

The lamp shades vary in design and size. After assembling the switch on the lamp and added the shade, it did not sit flat as there was no support for the shade frame to rest on. We had to get a large washer to put on the lamp mechanism, add the shade then added the nut to the lamp mechanism to secure the shade in place. I recommend the manufacturer add an additional nut to the package.

This worked great as a replacement part for a lamp that was damaged.

We'll see.

THE THREADED PARTS WOULD NOT STAY TOGETHER. I WAS ABLE TO CANNIBALIZE OLD AND NEW PARTS TO COMPLETE THE REPAIR.

We were going to throw out a very good lamps but discovered we could replace the internals with this part, as good as new, very happy
