Moving in the Apostolic: How to Bring the Kingdom of Heaven to Earth

Cutting through the clutter
This is a no nonsense book that clarifies a lot of hard questions on a often misunderstood and much maligned topic. Eckhardt speaks from experience and a deep understanding of the subject. In an environment where it seems the majority of voices on apostleship seek little more than self agrandizment and promotion this man's wisdom is a welcome relief.Everyone in todays church should have at least a basic understanding of the true office of apostle and this book is a fine place to start. Enough of people who claim apostleship but lack the visible qualifications of the office. We all need to be concerned and informed on such an important subject as we near the end of the Church age. The apostolic anointing that defined the opening of the age will no-doubt be what defines the end of the age.We must learn to discern the true from the false in this matter and hold to that which is true. The heritage of the true apostolic must and will be restored. Having a good understanding of this restoration while it is happening will save us all a lot of trouble, confusion and contention.

Very informative and anointed
Apostle Eckhart is a true blessing to me. This book confirms what I already know and it's on point with scripture.

Informative
With so little teaching on the apostolic in churches today, this is a great resource to supplement your own study.

I can see.
Once I was blind but now I see. I was taught that after the twelve Apostles died the office was to lay vacated; already established and unnecessary to be refilled because the doctrine would lead those that would follow (blinded). My eyes was closed to truth until recent revelation and encounters by the spirit of God. Afterward, leading me to this great book that opened my eyes to great truth. Although I’ve been saved 18 years and operated in the prophetic, even confirmed by others prophets that I walked in the office of the Apostolic, I walked blindly and humbly taking the middle ground of ignorance. I am proud to say I now walking in the light and have embraced my calling into the office of the apostolic. I will be affirmed October 20th 2019. May I solicit your prays and may the Lord grace me and keep me walking in humility. In Jesus name, Amen.

Insightful book about the seldom discussed ministry of apostles
I really enjoyed this book. It was hard to find a book on the apostolic anointing. It is a controversial subject, since many people believe that the office of apostles died with the original twelve disciples of Jesus. However John Eckhardt explains that this office has not died, but is alive and well and is growing in our times. He talks about what an apostle is, discussing the original meaning and usage of the Greek word. He mines the Scripture—in both the Old and New Testaments—for hidden nuggets and examples to illustrate what apostles do and how they help to build the kingdom of God. Eckhardt also talks about how the other leadership types should work together with apostles to equip the church and advance the gospel.Whether you think you may be an apostle, or you know an apostle, this is a good book to help you understand that role in the church. I think that pastors, in particular, should read this book, so that they know how to cooperate with these forerunners of the gospel and facilitate church growth and expansion.I listened to the audio version of this book first, but found that I needed a visual copy, so I could look up the Bible verses the author references. If you have both, then that makes it easier to review. This is a book you are going to want to reference often, and you may want to recommend to others. Therefore, you may want to get two copies.

Quite thorough
I loved this take on the apostolic. John broke down scripture in an easy to read manner, discussed why the office of apostle is still necessary, and then explained what it could look like based on examples from scripture. It was an easy read and an enjoyable one. There were a few parts that seemed repetitive but it wasn't enough to dock the rating.

Excellent read
This book really helped me to “see” and understand what is going on with my church. Why my ideas about how ministry should happen. I’m helped me understand why I was so interested in government and order. This book made a lot of things clear to me as far as what it means to be apostolic. I would recommend this to anyone in ministry or anyone who is tilting their head at some things going on in their church.
