Easy to Use
Easy to use, I used this for applying pony club badges on to a jumper. I think possibly the badges were a little thicker than the usual application materials so took quite some heating up under the iron but they are holding!

Brilliant!!!
I had my doubts, BUT, it certainly beats using a needle and thread!!!!!!! I would definitely recommend this! It’s easy to use especially as I have arthritis in my hands.

Works but with limitations
First use, turning up trousers, it took a lot more heat to make the bond than inspected after the first attempt failed in the wash. The hem remained stiff which may or not be wanted. Conclusion does work, but with limitations. Failed after second wash!

This saved me the frustration of trying to thread a needle and sew up hem! Easy to apply. Just need a hot iron. Simple!

Just what I needed to shorten voiles (and trousers)
Excellent value for money, and this hemming tape provided strong adhesion on both delicate voiles and also on a pair of fairly thick cotton trousers (combat/cargo trousers).I used my iron on a medium-cool setting (between 1 and 2) and found that it worked very well. I'm a perfectionist so, once I used the tape to shorten the voiles/trousers (i.e. I knew I was happy with the length), I gave the fabric one last, quick press of the iron, just to be safe. It's worth noting that I don't usually use hemming tape for clothes, as I prefer to tailor clothing on my sewing machine. Unfortunately though, the trousers were an urgent/time-sensitive job and, seeing as the hemming tape worked perfectly the first time on the trousers, I didn't feel the need to then go back to alter the trousers manually with my sewing machine, especially because the tape stands up so well to washing. Overall, I'm really very impressed with the result! After hemming, both items looked great and, although it'll be a little while before I plan to wash my living room voiles, the trousers have been washed a few times since the hemming tape was applied (with no issue to report), so I'm happy that this item does what it says on the Amazon listing.FULL DISCLOSURE:I don't have a tumble drier, so I can't comment on how well this tape stands up to being tumble-dried. I only dry my clothes on an outdoor clothes line (spring to autumn) or on an indoor clothes rack, assisted with a dehumidifier (winter).Although other reviewers have commented that this hemming tape isn't very strong, or that it disintegrates after washing, that isn't my own experience. Whether these customers don't apply enough heat/pressure to enable the tape to adequately seal, or whether they simply didn't get on with the hemming tape in another way...I'm unsure of the varying results.Whatever the case though, I found this item to be absolutely amazing. All of that said, I'll be sure to update this review if that changes in time, and if I find that the hemming tape doesn't stand up to washing/wear and tear.
