I've had these hats before and they were fine, light and cool, because they were 100%cotton. The hats they've sent me this time felt different, low and behold looked inside the seam and a small label saying 100%acrylic.Very angry about this

Small for me (I don't have a huge head) and doesn't keep particularly warm.

Nothing organic or cotton in this hat

100% cotton and fits my big head! Feels great when hiking. Cooler than Acrylic or wool, but that is a bonus when walking and the old “bonce” is producing excess heat. I am skin sensitive and react to synthetic materials, so this is an absolute winner. Very inexpensive too! Second one I’ve bought- red to add to my grey one. Easy to stuff into a pocket as not bulky.

I wasn't quite sure if this was going to be some awful quality thing from amazon but was pleasantly surprised. 100% cotton is great for those looking for alternative to wool. Like the colour, fabric is good, fit is good, washed well..and it was 5.95! *Update Oct ‘25 : still going strong! (and I wash things often )

I liked this so much that I bought another. It's comfortable and made of organic cotton. It will likely not be as warm as a synthetic or wool beanie, but I bought it because synthetics shed microplastics and wool beanies are treated with chemicals to repel moths. They do shrink a bit when you wash and dry them, but you can reshape them when they are wet or dry.
