I like how it is made, however it is a bit over priced

It was a gift! Thats wy I gave it 5 stars.But they told me it broke during the first use. The wires did NOT go all the way down and broke some wires. She would have gave it NO stars.

The only positive about this product is that it looks as advertised.Product broke on the first attempt.

I like hard boiled eggs and I often like slicing them for sandwiches. I’ve been annoyed by using my knife and getting uneven cuts and making a mess. A good egg slicer gives quick and precise cuts for great sandwiches. At a great price, why wouldn’t you get this?

This isn't very well designed. What you can't see in the picture is that the back of the hinge is open. There is a gap in the plastic, that allows too much play in the cutting wires -- they don't readily line up correctly. In fact, the wire part can completely slip out of the plastic holder. The front of the wire sometimes lines up almost into the next slot. (Note: it is plastic -- not metal -- except for the stainless steel wires.) I could not get it to work at all at first. However, after studying the design flaws a little, and with some practice, I could get it, and it worked sufficiently well with the egg in it, to get by. The stainless steel wires actually cut really well, and all else is good! So ... if you like to putter a little when cooking, this is for you. But if you will be doing a lot of eggs, and like to work efficiently and smoothly, I would really recommend another product.It would be such a simple fix to just close off that back hinge, and it would be a great little slicer!
