Life-changing for air travel
I’ve always had issues with my ears while flying—I’d often be in great discomfort during landing, and my ears would feel clogged for ages after the flight. I was scared to use the ear popper but it works great when you use it proactively! I usually use it twice during the first 10-15 minutes after takeoff, and every five minutes or so for the last 30 minutes of the flight. It feels weird before you get used to it, but it prevents any pain and helps a lot with the clogged feeling after the flight. I feel awkward using it next to a stranger but it makes such a difference, I do it anyway. This has worked much better for me than earplanes, decongestants, or the valsalva maneuver.

Expensive but worth every penny since it worked
I suffer from chronic eustachian tube dysfunction in both ears and have Miniere’s disease in my right ear only, but that ear has permanent hearing loss of about 40%. So when my “good ear” gets fluid it is a major problem for me. Doctors try antibiotics or steroids but I suffered with pain and hearing loss for months and finally broke down and ordered this. I wish I would have ordered it a year ago. While it is overpriced for what it is, nobody else makes something like it, it is pretty well made seemingly, and more than anything, it works! After the first use I could hear about 40% better in the clogged ear, and after about four uses I got about 80% of my ear back! And from clearing my ear, the cold I had disappeared over the next three days. This will be valuable to me going forward. Thanks for making this item. It saved my sanity.

Relief from barometric pressure shifts
I bought this to see if it would help with my vestibular migraines. Whenever the barometric pressure shifts I was having extreme vertigo and couldn’t function. My vestibular system doesn’t work well and doesn’t release the pressure from my head normally (kind of like your ears never popping after descending in an air plane). This product gives me some relief to the point where I don’t get vertigo. Sometimes I can’t use the device and just swallow to release pressure. To get the pressure to release from my ears I have to sometimes drink water from a straw to induce the release of pressure from my vestibular system. When the pressure releases I can hear a high pitch release of air followed by some relief. I unfortunately still have some migraines and I’m seeking other remedies for that (Dizzy Diet Book, taking ginger, magnesium, ginkgo biloba, Coq10, throughout the day from Pure Supplements both are supposed to reduce inflammation that can cause migraines in the body) which seems to be helping with managing my daily migraines. I have been suffering from migraines for years and was happy to find some relief with this product. Hope this review helps others or gives them other ideas to try. God Bless!

Defective EarPopper
The unit arrived in original packaging that was damaged along the top of the box. Also, there appears to be some sort of foreign matter stuck in concentric circles to the back of the box. The unit itself does not work on the higher air flow setting and the valve described in the cleaning instructions is missing. Additionally, the batteries that were included with the unit where corroded.

Just order it...and stop taking all that nasty medication!
SO if your reading this chances are you have fluid in your inner ear that won't drain. I let my allergies get away from me this year as I normally don't get symptoms. It was building up but I didn't catch on to what was happening and then I did some serious tree trimming in the yard and got a mega dose of pollen. My only symptom was clogged ears and all the good things that come with it including dizzy spells...fun while driving. I went to a walk in and they said ya its swollen in there and prescribed a 10 day antibiotic and steroids, after finishing the medicine I had zero improvement so I called them back and they prescribed a second antibiotic, about 5 days into taking that I felt lousy and stopped taking it, especially after reading the side effects. Called my regular doctor and he prescribed an allergy medicine and suggested Flonase as well. The allergy pills made me feel like garbage all day, this went on for about a week until I gave up on it. I've talked to people with similar issues and getting tubes jammed in my ear or even worse getting a prosthetic tube put in scared the hell out of me. FINALLY I found this little guy, ordered Friday, got it Saturday, its now Wednesday and I'm 100% better! I used it a couple times a day, taking a small sip of water helps with swallowing. It feels kind of funny at first but the sensation passes in a few minutes and then you will feel draining in the back of the throat. I also used a neti pot to flush any blockage out and allow draining. I can't thank the creators enough. When I first found it online it said prescription only but I did a shopping search and there it was, not as cheap as I would have liked, but priceless in the end.

Unethically overpriced, but it worked
When you can't hear out of one ear, you're miserable. You'll pay almost anything for relief. Unfortunately, Summit Medical (maker of the EarPopper) seems to be literally banking on that. This device looks and feel like it costs about $15 to manufacture. If you're comfortable supporting a company that gouges prices by 1,000%, I get it. Your ears deserve the relief. I haven't tried it, but Exercor makes a seemingly similar device (the Eustachi Eustachian Tube Exerciser) for $59 clams. Still quite expensive given the simplicity of the device, but if I could do it all again I would try the Eustachi first. That being said, what's done is done. I own a very expensive little Earpopper that works fairly well and I take it with me on every flight. It typically takes 2-3 uses for me, before my eustachian tubes feel open again. If things are really bad, I'll squirt a little Flonase in my nostrils first, then use the Earpopper, with the hope that some of the Flonase will sneak into my eustachian tubes and help reduce the inflammation at the source. Good luck to you!
