this duo is really great. First off
I was initially hesitant to buy this. It's a few $ more than the rectangular shaped keyboard/mouse combos out there and I wasn't sure if the "wave shape" would work for me. I was so wrong, this duo is really great. First off, having both a wireless keyboard and mouse is amazing, and it really decreases wire clutter around your desk. Both the keyboard and mouse communicate with a single, tiny USB stick that you can hardly notice sticking out of your computer.Keyboard: I don't think I will ever be able to go back to a "rectangular" shaped keyboard ever again. The keys for this keyboard all point verrry slightly inwards. This means that your wrists don't have to be parallel to eachother and your elbows can flair out a little. The keys are also verrry slightly elevated and depressed in a wave pattern that makes it so your wrists don't have to be perfectly parallel with the floor. All of this makes the keyboard insanely comfortable and easy to type with. It will take you a day or 2 to fully get used to but you'll be glad you stuck with it. This thing feels very solid and looks legit. Oh and the key strikes aren't very loud either but depress the perfect amount (definitely look elsewhere if you are used to pure mechanical keyboards though).Mouse: This mouse looks very high quality and could easily be sold as a stand-alone product. Don't think because they are in a combo it will be lower in quality. It has a great weight to it (not too light and plasticy feeling like a lot of wireless mouses out there.). Like the keyboard, it has a very ergonomic shape that really helps you rest your hand and your thumb on it. It's also very smooth and and glides along my mousepad or table very easily.Cons: Honestly can't think of any other than having to explain the shape to people when they are visiting. I know this probably reads like an infomercial but it really is that good.

Excellent product that works for a programmer
Ergonomic Key SetupI always buy ergonomic keyboards. As a programmer, I do a lot of typing on a daily basis so I am very concerned about carpal tunnel and other issues related to typing on a keyboard. The board is slightly angled in a winged fashion from the middle of the keyboard with a small indentation in the keyboard making the keys surrounding the D on your left hand and the K on your right hand slightly lower than the other keys. To be honest, I never quite got used to this particular feature of the keyboard. I am good, not great, typist but I found that I miss keys in this indented area fairly often. But I miss keys on no matter what keyboard I use and I wouldn't say I miss more on this one. Such is the life of a flaky typist!ConnectivityI love the way this connects. I have a logitech M705 mouse so I did not use the mouse that came with this set. The reason, by the way, is the mouse that comes with this set does not have the Hyperscroll feature that I absolutely must have in any mouse I use. Only certain Logitech mice have it. So I had my other M705 mouse already hooked up to my computer and inserted the batteries into this keyboard and turned it on. Boom. Windows 7 found my keyboard, installed the driver and done. No hassle. Didn't even have to use the micro usb plug receiver that came with this device. Can now use the same one for both my keyboard and my existing M705 mouse. Be aware however that this could cause a problem if you have another of the same keyboards in close proximity of this multi-device micro usb plug receiver. Not sure how to handle that but I'm sure you can. Also note that I replaced my old Microsoft 6000 v2.0 with this keyboard. The 6000 had a real problem missing keys because of connectivity issues. It's like it missed the signal. I did not have that problem with this keyboard.Keys IssueMy C key paint has completely rubbed off and I've read that others have had this issue with other keys. It's not that old and should not have this issue. That actually is very irritating.MouseI cannot tell you much about the mouse as I haven't used it. As I said, I don't use it because the lack of the Hyperscroll feature found on certain Logitech mice.Peripheral keysThe function keys are bit lower than the number keys and I found that a little harder to get to.I really like the up down volume keys and the mute button placement.ConclusionAll in all this a solid keyboard with good functionality. I like the feel of my 6000 better than this one but I couldn't stand the missed keys so I'll be staying with this one for a while.

After several years of use...
I've been using this mouse/keyboard combo for years now - maybe 3-4 I dunno. I was happily satisfied from day one but after all this time, seriously heavy use, and ABUSE - these buggers still work like new. I tend to toss the keyboard around the room (nicely of course) when using it in the bedroom for movies. The mouse goes with me almost everywhere, tossed carelessly into my bag. They're both still like new.The mouse is very responsive and comfortable, has excellent battery life, and looks good on the desk. It has two extra buttons which in most cases is perfect. How often are you going to use that third, forth, or umptinth extra programmable button on your mouse? Even for hardcore gaming I'm happy to program the extra two buttons and the "middle" button and use my keyboard for the rest. The scroll wheel of course is the middle button and in most games pressing both left and right at once does the same thing. The keyboard is very comfortable and dependable. Nice responsive feel, the wave shape does something for ergo, and it has all the standard buttons, the standard extra buttons, then some extra extra buttons and some programmables. Wonderful keyboard. Again the batteries last very long even though I rarely switch it off when in disuse, and use it quite a lot. I think the keyboard goes through them ever so slightly faster than the mouse - probably because it lights up and all.I've maybe replaced the battery 6-8 times in the past few years but not out of necessity. I sometimes leave my laptop a distance from my setup when I'm using peripherals as a desktop (monitor, mouse, keyboard, etc...) and this mouse has good range but only with a topped off battery. Normal laptop users could probably get more than a year per battery set.
