Works great to connect my MacBook Pro Touch Bar to this new Dell U3417W and runs at the full 60Hz. Obscures two ports on the end that plugs into the monitor, but they were both just full sized displayport ports anyway so that doesn't bother me. I've attached a photo of that so you can see what I mean.

Largely works as advertised, but I almost always have to plug this in multiple times when I come into work in the morning. For some reason it just doesn't connect usually. Once it does and the monitor is connected and displaying, then it's fine.

Very well made, reasonable shipping speed, but gets one star because the mini display-end is an oversized plastic molded section and is too big to fit side beside another cable. Beautiful cable if both ends took into consideration the reason for these newer cable formats is they use smaller spaces. My intended use was for a windows surface pro connected to Lenovo Yoga via the Surface Pro accessories block I.e. The Yoga has the USB C port, the Windows Surface interface accessory box has the mini display port. Then routed to my 4K monitor's DVI connection. Again fantastic cable just too big at molded mini display end. Returning cable.

Bought to use with my old apple led Cinema Display (27" - from late 2010) with my new mac book pro 13" with touch bar. It works perfectly! Including the front camera, speakers and the old USB hub behind the screen (if you connect the USB using a USB c adapter as well). Very happy with product!

This works great to connect my older dell monitor directly to my 2017 MacBook Pro 13". I recommend this rather than an hdmi - USBC adapter.

Works perfectly. I can now use my old iMac as a display for my new MacBook Pro with the silly USB-C ports!

Returning this cable. Did not work with my type-c XPS and dell 4K monitor. Very dissapointing.
