I purchased this for a speaker dock, with what looked to be an odd size adapter. This universal power charger / adapter works great! Definitely a good buy and good value.

This I transformer did work for me. It does have a good tip selection too.But the cord length is why I purchased this item, the cord as measured in the add photo is 62" in real life it is 48". 12" short now I need a ext. cord that they do not recommend.I need it badly or it would go back.2 Stars only because it works but the 3volt output will not work my watch winder had to up it to 4volts, the device that this replaces is 3volt not 4

Item was defective out of the box, although packaging was undamaged. This item is not only defective but also dangerous. Voltage selector switch was stuck, and would not turn with the small supplied thumb screwdriver. After being able to turn it with a real screwdriver, I measured the output voltage and found it was always 12V, regardless of how the selector switch was set. It would have destroyed the 5V portable record player that I bought it for to use as a second power supply, if I hadn't measured voltage first with an accurate digital voltmeter. I am returning it for a refund, as I don't want to waste my time and take another chance on a replacement. I bought another brand fixed 5V power supply, which works fine. It seems that quality control is non-existent on some of the cheaper electronic products sold through Amazon. Basically, they just ship it and the customer does the quality control at their own peril. Maybe that's why this product was cheaper than comparable universal AC adapters. Poorly rated items are often discounted. Pity, because it had good features, supposedly 2 Amps of power, and lots of plug adapters. Unfortunately, if I could give this product zero stars, I would.
