The Crack-of-Dawn Walkers (Picture Puffins)

This is a most charming book and one that my children and I read countless times. It is a testament to the vivid descriptions that I always think the beautiful illustrations are in colour, when in fact they are black and white. I ordered it on Amazon because I had a nostalgic longing to read it to my new granddaughter when she is old enough. I'm looking forward to the day when I can introduce her to Sadie and her grandfather, and their snowy morning travels.
