I have an older Holmes air purifier and this filter fits perfectly and works just as well as the Aer filter I’ve been getting. Great value.

Great filter. It fits perfectly in my air machine and is already collecting micro-particles.

These are not exactly like the Holmes filters. When you compare side-by-side the Holmes have way more "zig-zag concertina" folds in it, meaning the Holmes has a much larger surface area of filter to pass the air through than this knockoff version. Other than that the filter is fine. The charcoal pre-filter is easy to stick onto the filter with the sticky velcro attachments. After running this for a few days I began to notice a reduction in background smell (although I did buy a gel activated-charcoal air freshener at the same time - Gonzo odor air magnet). I was attempting to clear the musty smell from my bedroom, now it is fall/winter we cannot open the windows during the day to allow air to circulate. Overall, it seems to do its job (the filter runs every night when I go to bed until I wake up as a white-noise generator to help me sleep). Since it is significantly cheaper than the brand-name one, I may purchase again.

These are "replacements" for the for the AER1 filters and not the actual name brand filters. I didn't catch this before I ordered it, or I might have reconsidered. I looked the manufacturer up and they make coffee filters and other paper products so it seems okay, but I would have liked to seen it clearly stated that these are after-market or third party filters as the color and design is very close to the original (but not the original). Decent price. Using one and it seems fine.
