Installed in the tail gate of my 4runner.Replaced the poor excuse for lights. Best car mod ever.

Such a simple light with so many uses. I have 6 of them on my jeep. 4 of them are for dome lights. They are bright and a very easy install. they actually give you light so you get an actual clean white light so you can see things. Remember, you get what you pay for. cheap lights are cheap and will either not give you a good amount of light, or they will die causing you to buy another light.

Works super good! I used it as a dome light in my truck and it’s better than ever! Very pricy but good if you are needing light in a small package!

Drove me crazy as every time I tried to mount the light to my truck bed it would flicker on and sometimes stay on. In regular testing before mounting it worked fine - stayed on when I turned on the cab light, switched on and cycled off when the dome light went off. Well made, quality item. EXCEPT it ohms out between the negative wire and the aluminum case. That is why each time I put a screw through the truck bed and it touched the light's case (where a tiny bit of powder coating had been rubbed off) - the light flickered on. Turns out (after a phone call to tech support and waiting a few hours) the case is grounded on purpose. Would have been nice to know that before jacking with it. In the end I mounted it to a piece of Lexan so there would be no chance of it grounding out and so that it would work in series with my interior lights.

I've owned and own LOTS of cyclone lights. (as well as other KC products) They are not cheap. And I won't say they've been perfect. I've had a couple cyclone's lose LED's and one short out and die completely. To KC's credit, they're always honored their warrantee / guarantee, with no more questions than a photo of the light. One vehicle I had four of them on the front a DRL's. One burnt out, and they replaced it. The problem was the "color/temperature" of the new one didn't quite match, I guess due to some changes and it looked odd. I questioned KC about it and their response was to send me three more new ones. (I didn't ask for that or expect it.) So the next time one went bad on another truck, I figured I still owed them and just bought new ones instead of asking for a replacement. When I bought these for a different project, I didn't hesitate to pay for KC cyclones. (which in all honesty was WAY over budget for the stupid thing I was buying them for. lol)
