The handle extender works really well. No more burnt hands and the popcorn comes out great as long as you keep shaking and shaking until the popping stops. My 7 yr. old grandson and I used the handle and the leftover popcorn pan afterwards to melt old crayons over the fire so we could drip the wax onto some rocks to make designs. Fun camping trip!

I love this Jiffy Pop holder. We go camping as much as possible, and there's nothing like making fresh popcorn over a campfire. It holds the Jiffy Pop very securely and allows us to stay far away from the heat while still able to shake the Jiffy Pop over the fire. The only complaint I have is that the metal portion between the Jiffy Pop and the wooden handle can get very hot over an open fire, so you just have to be careful not to touch it immediately after the popcorn is done. It does cool down quite quickly, though, so that helps! Love this thing!

holds the jiffypop popcorn package securely and allows you to stay back from the fire enough to keep from getting singed. Takes several attempts to get the correct heat and popping techneque to get the popcorn to come out right and not burn. get 3 or 4 packages to practice with. The popcorn package does tell you not to use it on an open fire, just stovetop use but this handle does allow you to do it if you are careful and attentive. ( Make sure to remove the cardboard top correctly and shake the handle like crazy)

The only way to go if you want to pop a classic Jiffy Pop tin over an actual fire. I recently went on a family vacation to a cabin in the mountains and brought along a whole mess of tins and this holder, and it performed beautifully. The system is very simple--you simply place the tin in the circular opening, where it fits precisely, and then slide the loop up the handle until it "falls" into the divot. It feels a little precarious at first, but no amount of vigorous shaking even came close to dislodging any of the tins from the handle. If you follow the popping directions, it will feel like it's going to come flying off at any moment, but take my word for it--it won't.

I gave this as a gift to avid campers and they were thrilled. Great value and great idea if you do anything around a campfire or fire pit.

Worked great over our fir pit. The whole container popped and not one Kernal left behind. We held the handle with a gloved potholder just be safe so I'm not sure if handle gets hot. But it works just as described...It made delicious popcorn!!

This is great for jiffy pop at the fire pit! So fun!!!
