The TP-LINK TL-WR741ND with DD-WRT performs better!
I purchased the TL-WA5110G to replace an older failing wireless router that I used to connect to a wireless ISP. I also purchased a TP-LINK TL-WR741ND, and installed the latest version of DD-WRT on it. After spending an hour going back and forth between the two testing the performance, I found the WR741ND with DD-WRT performed significantly better by about 20%. With the TL-WA5110G, I would average around 4Mbps, and the WR741ND around 5Mbps consistently. Mind you nothing changed with the antenna configuration. All I did was swap back and forth the LAN cable and external antenna connection between the two when I was comparing. I don't know what would happen if I had the TL-WA5110G at both ends of the link, but contrary to the manufacturers claims, the TL-WA5110G receiver sensitivity is significantly less than that of the TL-WR741ND's.

Works great, Highly configurable.
Currently using this as an AP client to give wireless connectivity to my xbox 360 (at a fraction of the price of Microsoft's xbox wireless adapter). It took only a few minutes to configure it. Super configurable, supporting AP, AP client and bridge modes. Love how it also supports higher power for fringe areas. Would totally buy again.

TP-Link TL-WA5110G
We have converted our offices and now specify TP-Link in all our projects. Nothing bad to say about the unit. Have worked with several name brand units over the years and we have always had issues. Great reception, reliable, and a good price.

Terrible Product
This is a terrible product. I purchased the item and was able to log in to the device for only a moment. I was never again able to login even though I did a factory reset several times. Support was responsive but unable to help. They did RMA the device and sent me a new one but I was never able to logon even once. Several factory reset did no good. I had read the poor reviews here but decided to give them a chance. I believe we need as many competitive high tech suppliers as we can get. T-LINK is NOT one of those.

Worthless as an AP for Printers
I've tried this thing as AP, client, and it sniffs my Wifi fine. I use the same SSID, and the exact WPA2 security and I can tell it joins.But, while DHCP is on or off, it always gives the LAN port the first IP in the DHCP setting, but the IP belongs to the LAN port MAC not the MAC of the device plugged in.Thus a printer on Ethernet to the AP does not get reached at all.The IP of the device is only reachable if I LAN connect to it from a PC and I see the IP for the device is different than the DHCP setting.

Very powerful
These reach over our whole 40,000 square foot warehouse. Very nice access point. One of the best we have ever owned in the 9 years I have been with our company.

No me arrepiento, dude un poco ya que no soporta el custom firmware DD-WRT pero la verdad funciona perfecto, no falla, el alcance de la señal es muy bueno para el precio y aunque no lo tengo en una zona muy central de la casa, la señal llega a todos lados.Tiene buenas funciones, básicas pero funcionan sin falla. Definitivamente lo recomiendo como AP, ya sea para repetir una señal o para crear una.

Gran alcance.
Excelente. Gran alcance y muy buena señal. Siempre y cuando no esté encerrado. Yo tengo el mio en la ventana y llega a todas partes. Gran potencia y facil de configurar y cambiar. Posiciona la antena y verás que es muy bueno. A mi me funcionó.
