Please read updated review below...My original review for this product was as follows:These look like they'd be ok for the price, except we can only use 3 of the 4 lights because one is missing a spring for one of the battery connections. This price for three lights is not nearly as attractive, especially since we needed all four. Not sure if it's worth the hassle of return, but definitely won't buy these again.UPDATE 7/30/17: Hitopin's customer service was incredible. I was not going to bother returning this item, but they actually read my review and contacted me. Three days later, I have a replacement in my hands for the damaged light. Based on this attention to detail, I would DEFINITELY buy from this seller again.We do love these lights, and it will be great to have a complete set. We are using these in our pool, and as suggested by another reviewer, we used plumber's tape on the threading to add a bit more waterproof insurance. These lights are crisp and bright, and bring us much joy. :)

So there are a few "gottchas" I wanted to share. They actually tell you right on the packaging which is why they still get the 5 stars.1. They are for temporary use. Not long term. Batterys only last about 6 hours and they tell you not to have them under water for more than 10.2. You kind have to light them up and choose the colors before you submerge them unless the water you put them in is crystal clear3. Screw the caps down extra tight. I mean as tight as you possibly can.Other than those details, these things work really well. Theyr'e are very bright. Bright enough to shin through an algie filled turtle pond. They worked well for the evening get together. Be sure to place the infa red sensor in either a single direction so you can control them all at onece or in diffrent directions so you can change one at a time. They give you a remote for each. I just thought I'd share my experience with these.

These worked fine the first time I put in batteries (alkaline). I played around with them for a couple minutes and put them in a drawer for a couple weeks. The next time they both only flashed red with no response from the remote. I checked the batteries and they were all dead, even though they were barely used. Replaced with new batteries (eneloop) and they worked again. I tried them again a few weeks later they were dead again despite not being used.... Must have parasitic drain. Sucks if I have to replace the batteries every single time I use them.

I ordered these lights because they are multifunctional. I have so many uses for them. I am using mine for pumpkin lighting, hanging paper lanterns, and underwater light.You get 4 lights each with their own remote. The remotes can work for all lights though. You get different color settings and can switch from a solid light to a blinking light.They are waterproof so they can be submerged. You have to make sure after placing in your batteries that you twist on the bottom entirely. Each light does require 3 triple A batteries that are not included.The only issue I had was that the lights float. They do not stay underwater. You will need to surround them with rocks if using them for a pond or fountain or place something on the bottom to hold it down.Overall I am satisfied as they are submersible and functional.

These are not water tight. They do allow liguid through the seal. The rubber gasket is not thick enough to provide a good seal. This can be fixed by using Teflon pipe thread tape around the threads of the lid. The tape can be found at any hardware store. Still a cool light effect.

REVISED: I had these in the shower for about 4 months, not in direct flow of water, just receiving minor over-spray. 3 of the 4 stopped working. I opened them up to find all 4 have water inside. On the 3 that stopped working, the batteries were soaked to the point of discoloration and the labels are coming off. The 4th light miraculously still works. It has visible water inside where the lights are and a lot of rust. The battery compartment is wet, but somehow the water didn't pool near the batteries, so it still works, with exception that most of the colors are different shades of green or blue now. Red and orange don't work.These are not water tight. They are definitely not submersible. I considered user error, but considering the trouble I had opening them because they were screwed so tightly, I have to say it is a product flaw that water found its way inside all 4 lights.Also, when all 4 lights are on "Fade" using the remote, one cycled through the colors at about 5 times the speed of the remaining 3, that were almost in sync.NOTE: The green light in the photo is supposed to be orange.Original review:Great lights. Great Lights! just as described. I must not have read the description that close because to my surprise There where the four lights but a Bonus They EACH had a remote control Awesome! giving a couple to My Sister-In-Law for her Hot Tub then they can have Disco Night in the Tub ; ) They work GREAT! Super bright and the batteries seem to last a long time, I forgot and left one on overnight and it's still as bright as day one! And so many colors to select from! It's well worth the money. I'm sure I will be back for another set or Two they make the best gifts! Thank You.

I love these! I run a annual haunt and these are perfect for lighting many different areas. I had two in a fish tank on green lighting a sea monster, one in a potion jar, and one set on strobe, under cotton in a cauldron which made it look like a boiling potion. It was so easy to turn them on and off with the remote. Be aware that the strobe and other features only work with the main primary colors. Also, if the batteries get low they will start strobing really fast, but a battery change takes care of it. I will most certainly buy more!
