I bought this book at a community sale. I am so glad I did. None of the songs are too difficult, and a few are downright easy! I had four years of lessons as a child, but have played very little since then. The notes on most of the songs do not go off the staffs, which I really appreciate as I am relearning and reconditioning my fingers to play. I keep finding new little gems as I flip through the book. I liked it so much I got one for my sister for Christmas this year - she has four children under ten who will love these. If you have had a couple of years of lessons, you will enjoy these songs with a little work, and if you are really proficient, you will enjoy the songs after a few times playing them. I mean, who can resist the Brady Bunch theme?I am using the songs to break up the frustration of trying to tackle one harder song in another book. I find I enjoy playing these songs much more than the classical music I am working to learn.

I got this in hopes of being able to help teach myself to play because I know trebble clef and I can pick out a lot of the top hand in easy to play books but I wanted something that would have songs that I knew and would really enjoy playing. This book was it. I love pulling it out and playing now and my husband is so happy to see me playing again. I have a finger chart and I am learning my base clef now and I can easily sit and play for an hour at least. The songs are in different stages of easy to more difficult all easy but some a just a bit more challenging so as I get better I still have more I can do unitl I get good. But as I am learning at least I am having a really good time. Lots of fun Disney songs as well as a good mix of old classic (The Blue Grass Fly, There's a hole in my bucket, John Jacob Jingle Himer Scmidt, and the like) Loved this purchase.

I bought this book for piano playing and general singing. It is an amazing collection of great songs, classics and more up to date. I love ite. They only bad thing is that is it so thick that it is hard to keep it open on the piano. It would be much better if it was spiral bound instead. I am surprised by the number of people who reviewed this book and said the songs are too hard. They are very easy if you know how to read music and play the piano!

Easy and enjoiable version of well known songs.At my (intermediate) piano level, I can play them directly and have my children sing together (no need to prepare/study them, unless to perfect some passages). Even my daughter (1 year of piano studying) can play the easiest pieces, but she has to study them somewhat in order to get something pleasurable.The main limits are from the Italian perspective:- some pieces are pretty American, so my children don't know them (solution: just ignore them)- the most famous pieces are from Disney movies, but children know them in the Italian version (solution: search Italian text on the Internet...or sing by heart...).All in all I'm happy with this songbook

The songs in this book are so much fun to play. The arrangements are simple and easy to sight read. Lots of songs, some from children's films like the Lion King and many others. I bought it for the songs from when I was in grade school for a program I'm working on. But it has a wealth of music, including more modern kids songs from Disney movies, etc.

I grew up playing out of this book on the family piano. Many of these songs helped me become a better pianist. The book contains many favorites, including Disney songs, nursery rhymes, and some musicals. Lyrics are also supplied. This is a must-have for any piano beginner's collection as it will further appreciate their love of music. It is also a good book to have if people want to gather around the piano and have sing-alongs.

Excellent. Real sheet music, but simple harmonies and moderately larger print, very appropriate for kids. It's perfect for inspiring my 8-yr-old. It's beyond him as a total beginner, but exactly what he needs after getting over the initial learning-how-to-read-music hump. Exactly the level of difficulty that I hoped for, for him. This will be useful for at least a few years.And two Muppet songs!!! :)

I played the piano a decade ago and wanted some easy songs to ease myself back into playing. This book is perfect! It has easy and also intermediate songs. My kids love all of the songs in the book too. Great for the young and old. I was surprised how many classic 'Disney' songs the book contains.
