Absolutely love this board. The seeds are different than depicted but the seeds i got are actually better for my stubby fingers… i would only wish it cane with more seeds as k also play 6 seed as well as 4. Great gift idead

It is everything I thought it would be and more. Beautifully carved in the African tradition. The seeds are just beautiful, so very precious to me. A piece of home. As a child growing up in Africa, I saw the men sitting under a tree playing this game. I have wanted one for years and I cannot believe how easy and affordable it was to get one from Amazon. I bought one also for my eldest son, 35 yo, who will love it for Christmas. Thank you.

This far exceeded my expectations!!! What a beautiful piece of artwork really ! Best of all , the proceeds from this purchase help fund orphanages in West Africa . I bought this as a gift for someone I’m really fond of and he is from that part of the world. I hope it brings him joy and memories from his childhood. I’ll try to update once he receives it .

it was as expected considering it was hand made there were minor flaws here and there such as the nail that held one of the ties used to secure it closed comes out if handled to hard but that is expected in a hand made item, and considering that I have had bigger issues with mass produced items here in the states those minor flaws give it character and authenticity

I bought this as a surprise gift for my twenty-four year old daughter. Since I only had the online picture and description to judge by, I was worried it might not meet my expectations. When my daughter called to thank me, she told me how thrilled she was to receive such a gift! She loved everything about it!

The African Oware is carved out of beautiful wood and displayed it is a wonderful art piece. I wrote to the manufacture and requested instructions on how to play the game, since no instructions was included in the shipment. I received no response from the manufacturer, and because of not receiving a response from the manufacturer I would give the item three stars.

Beautiful! I bought several after visiting the orphanage in Liberia. Such a sweet experience to see the efforts of these amazing people. I love to support this organization. They use 100% of all funds for African Heartwood Project which benefits these children!
