Q: Do you guys feel Alexa is slow to respond?

Not necessarily slow, but responsiveness and sensitivity aren’t as good as the Echo Spot I had. I find myself repeating commands more often than I used to.

Q: Since there is no battery backup, what happens if the electricity goes out during the night; will the clock and alarm continue to work?

If power comes back on it will reconnect to WI-Fi and clock and alarm and all other settings will resume,

Someone wrote the answer in a review, which I found extremely helpful. It’s the function setting, but getting there was complicated. Here is what the reviewer wrote, which worked for me: After setting up the Smart Clock, open the Alexa app and go to More > Settings > Device Settings. You will see TWO rows for your new clock, one with a wifi symbol in a circle and another with a wifi symbol inside a house icon. If you click the circle icon one, you will not be able to change the function display. Instead, scroll down and select the home icon one. Then you will see controls for screen brightness, function display, and more.

Q: The time is not showing up. How do I fix it?

The clock must be connected to the internet to receive the time. Make sure you go through the setup procedure to get the clock connected.
