Three Stars Safety Matches,Strike-On-Box, 240 Matches per Box

I use matches daily for my antique stove. I have become disappointed with Diamond matches and even wrote to the company to express my concern that their product's quality was worsening. They didn't care so I began a search for an alternative. These matches are far superior to Diamond. I wish they were more commonly distributed in the USA but am happy to have found them here.

The Swedes may be know for Volvo and IKEA but most people don’t realize they have one of the best match industries in the world.

I was also looking for a replacement for the Diamond Matchest that tend to break when you light one. I remembered buying these Three Star matches in little boxes in other countries when you couldn't get a standard book of matches and was always impressed.I need wood matches to light our wood stove in our off grid cabin. I bought the diamond matches a couple of years ago because they were excellent at one time. Now, they are only average. These Star matches are only slightly better because they do not break quite as often as the other matches I have used lately. A match that breaks when you light it and flies off into space is not a safe thing.

don't know who made those green strikes, they do not work - these take little effort and work great! cool box too

This matches are tiny little matches put into a big box give the impression that they’re kitchen matches. They are like the little match you would carry with you on your person I’m not impressed with the quality of the box or the matches I want a refund take it from me don’t buy these things

These light really well on the strike plate on the box. The match tip is great quality. The wood sticks are of variable quality from broken to thin to thick and they do burn down fast, just barely longer than a paper match from a pack of matches. My box had a generous 250 matches in it. The box is half the size of the standard Diamond matches so does not fill the decorator boxes made to hold a regular box of matches. Not much better overall than the same size box of matches I bought at a dollar store for $1. These were priced at $9.95 for one box here on Amazon.
