Updated 2018.01.31Amazon came through and sent me a replacement unit. It works fine. Main issue I see is the lack of upgradeability, though there are ways around that.

This PC is cheap but has a few drawbacks:* warranty is void if you open the case !!!!* included power supply is only 350w !!!!* only 8 GB of generic RAM included* HDD slows Windows 10 down... SSD is badly needed

Good brand, terrible package
I've had nothing but bad luck with this computer. Asus is supposed to be a good brand name, and just looking at what's included it seems to be a fair price for what you get, but I've had lots of issues in the first year of ownership. At first, maybe 6 months in, the mouse had issues with double clicking randomly or not clicking at all, so I replaced the mouse and it solved the issue. Then there was the occasional crashing and freezing randomly. Now, about 2 years into ownership I've had issues where I can't run any games without it crashing suddenly, going from games like doom back to some easy kid games, I've struggled to get it to run without freezing in 5 minutes. I'm well beyond the warranty date, so I can't even fight for that. The lesson here I think is that it's better to just build your own PC so you know that quality parts are going into it and you're not just getting a "deal."Update: I figured out the issue with the games crashing was that the GPU thermal paste was poorly applied or shifted. I reapplied and had no issues for several weeks while I was waiting for a new GPU I had ordered. PC has been working fine the last couple years with the new GPU. I'm not sure if the GPU was causing crashes.

Great comp for the money.
Could use a bigger power supply and a tad more memory. But it runs greats and I always upgrade parts myself it is cheaper that way.

Middle of the road; like the fork...
I bought during a huge promotion, so I got it at less than $1000 plus shipping. I would say it is worth it just for the vcard. Everything is quite mediocre otherwise. Though, good machine, and very responsive.Mind you, I am upgrading from an 8yr old custom built mid-high range. I don't game, and I've stopped using intensive processing (animations/ fx rendering, etc).Pros:Definitely the Graphics card; VR/occulus compatible, 6GB gddr5ASUS motherboard; my last build had similar tier and lasted whole 8yrs - expecting similar for this rig.CPU - in the i5 range, this is one of the most solid, and at a cost-effective price pointSOOOO Quiet!!! I like to keep my PC running fairly constantly, and on during most nights close by my bed, so this is a life saver (dream saver?)Cons:2 DIMM slots only :'( -- I slapped in 2x8GB @2400 (can get higher OC versions in there), got crucial vengeance rockingNo SSD... fixed it by buying corsair mx500 250gbgeneric 500W PSU -- it's enough power, but always nicer to have more reliable and stable higher endgeneric keyboard and mouse, really?mini-ATX form factor; massive gfx -- not much else left room forOverall:I'd say, if you are looking for a reliable rig around the $1K mark its a great machine to have; at any higher wait and save up to buy better components. Or you can essentially do what I did, and upgrade to your hearts desire...3.5 stars, its okay, but I like it.

- Good performance with GTX1060-6GB
Pros:- Good performance with GTX1060-6GB, can run any current AAA games at High (mix with Ultra) settings.- Come with keyboard and mouse.Cons:- It come with TOSHIBA DT01ACA100 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" which have some bad reviews about duration and it run pretty noisy and slow.- Can't upgrade (like SSD) without void warranty.- Case look like from mid 2005 but if you just care about performance, you can put it under the desk and forget it.***Update after using 1 and a half month (dropped 1 star)- Game (deus ex mankind divided, mafia 3...) stuttering with high fps. It usually freeze about 5-20 seconds i try to turn camera or move. CPU temp around 60C and GPU temp around 70C while playing. Applied fixes (defrag, scan virus, update drivers and windows, close or uninstall many applications...), but still got the same problem.- HDD is showing bad signs (clicked on Start menu icon, but it took 3-5 secs to pop-up...).

Great desktop for everything in your life
I love my desktop! It seems a little slow starting up but it's great for audio and games. I even purchased a 75' HDMI cable and ran it through my house so I can listen to music on my reciever and play games on my TV. This desktop has changed my life for the better.
