It works!
The product works for stretchy, slippery fabrics. I use it to baste hems. Iron it in place, remove the paper, fold your fabric and iron it again. Then sew the hem in place.

Wow! This makes sewing knit hems a breeze.
I’ve been sewing for decades and I’ve always hated hemming any knit garment because the hems never looked smooth or professional. I read about this stretch heatnBond product and wanted to give it a try.I had low expectations but was pleasantly surprised but how GREAT it works. You just iron the tape to the bottom inside of the hem area, then remove the paper backing layer, fold up the hem (with the HeatnBond applied) and press again. Voila! Your hem is perfectly flat, with an even hem height around the entire garment, and then the hem can be sewn up beautifully. There is no residue left on the sewing needle and it produces a flat, professional-looking hem in no time.On narrower hems I’ve cut the product in half lengthwise and it worked just as well as the full 5/8” width. Now that I’ve found this product, I’m actually looking forward to making more knit garments because I know my hems will look perfect without the waviness and stretched-out look. Where has this product been all this time?! If you do much sewing, you’ll LOVE this product! I highly recommend it.

I wish I'd tried this years ago!
For whatever reason, it seems like I wind up with a disproportionately high percentage of pairs of pants whose ankle hems separate. I've spent entirely too much time hand sewing these back together over the years, and figured I'd give this a shot.Using this is about as effortless as one could imagine, and the results are PERFECT! It took me well under five minutes to repair the ankle hem on my latest failed pair of pants (most of that time was waiting for the iron to heat up), and the repair has held up perfectly, with no signs of loss of adhesion. This also does not impart any additional stiffness or lack of flexibility to the fabric at all, even on 100% nylon dress slacks. I'm extremely impressed, and highly recommend this product.

Be careful of heat setting
Once you get the iron temp hot enough to set the tape but not so hot your fabric sticks to the iron it works. You are to use a high heat setting which is tricky on knits that are not 100% cotton.

Perfect for Lace Hems!!!
I’m drafting my wedding dress in pink and I needed to find a way to hem a v-neck and gauntlet sleeves in lace. I found this stuff and it works BEAUTIFULLY! I tested it on some scrap fabric (1st pic) to make sure I didn’t melt the synthetic fabric. Sure enough the fabric is fine and the interfacing holds! The adhesion seems to give up after some stretching, but I only needed it to hold together for stitching. When I do it in ivory, my wedding dress is going to look stunning thanks to this stuff!

Truly amazing, easiest hemming job ever
I've just started learning how to sew knits (I've been sewing woven fabric for about 9 months now), and I was warned that hemming knits was hard and that it was very tricky to get a flat, non-wavy hem. I did some research online and found this adhesive. I found it to be very easy to apply (just apply to the edge of the fabric, then fold up and iron again) and surprisingly strong, without restricting any of the stretch in the original fabric. I still stitched the hem mostly for the look (it seemed strong enough that the stitching isn't actually necessary), and it was the easiest hem every, no waviness at all. I've tried this with a mystery almost terry-knit from the remnants bin and a thin jersey.

Pretty good for soft clothing
I sometimes double the amount I use when using this for soft shirts. Stays together well after the first wash. Make sure to iron a few times to make sure adhesion is strong.

Sewing game changer for knits!!
I used to dread hemming knits with my twin needle, but this stuff has made the process so painless. No pins/clips, straight hems that don't curl and retains stretch, what more could you ask for?! Bought the Lite version after running through the Ultra, and I like it just as much for lighter knits. I also really like the weight that this tape adds to the hem. It is less noticeable with the Lite, but the weight of the tape adds a subtle change to the drape that gives the bottom hem a little something extra. It looks especially nice on dresses and tunics, IMO. Not a sponsored post, but I would TOTALLY become a "brand ambassador" for this product if given the opportunity. Now that I know it exists, I will never not have this in my sewing toolbox.
