Whalen Furniture 72" TV Stand Storage and Entertainment Console, Pure White

This gets one star because it is the design pictured, is white, and is in fact a tv stand. Problem is it's crap. If it were $100 or less it might get more stars, but I've seen and own cheaper pre-fab boxed furniture with better finishes than this. The finish on this is horrible. It's like someone spray-painted cardboard. You can see mill lines, bumps, and discoloration all over the top. You can see the pressed wood color through the white, like it had one bad coat of white. The doors look crappy as well. Where the angles meet there's either extra paint or they are raw pressed wood edges. Don't even get me started on trying to get the doors to line up. It's pretty much impossible to get them straight without either having them hit each other or rub the panel behind it. This was supposed to be my mother's day present and while I like the style from across the room, it looks like crap if you get close, and I paid $200 for it! Watched it forever to see if the price would drop. So so so not worth that money. I'd expect more even if it were $100. I always complained because the trim in our house is like thin wood with like a contact paper on it - well I'm thinking that is better than what this is. I'm afraid of how it will hold up with any kind of minor wear. Now I don't know what to do because packaging it back up to return would be near impossible. And there's no option for bad quality - I can't really return as defective. That's just how they make it. I would stay away from this even if like me you searched forever for the right style and like this one. For the money it's a joke.

I must say I love this t.v. console. No issues it came well packaged no missing components or damages. It was easy to put together, and I love how sturdy it is.

This item took over an hour to build only for the doors do not hang properly. There are improper gaps between the doors as well.I bought this item over a year ago. Thought I should update it. I should have a long time ago, but anyways we had a friend fix it who does wood work. So I love it now. If you don’t have someone to fix it don’t buy it.

It was left on my porch and it took 3 of us to haul it inside as it was SO heavy. Assembly took several hours, however. So make sure someone with a masters degree in assembling furniture is on hand when it arrives. Other than that, it's very nice looking and exactly the piece I needed for the room.

I like the Tv stand and it looks good, but the reason for two stars is that it was poorly packed and the doors are completely scratched. Very disappointed.

This is a horrible console, don't waste your money! It is very cheaply made. It came damaged. I'm very disappointed on this purchase. At first when we opened the box we saw broken shelf but my boyfriend is a carpenter and he decided to fix it by himself. Later, when we tried to set up the console we saw that almost everything in here is broken or damaged. This is the worst purchase that I've got from Amazon. I will pin some photos later. Again, do not buy this console. Trust me, you can buy much better stuff for 200$. And I do not understand who can write those good reviews.

This product turned out pretty good. Easy instructions, easy construction. Quality parts and pieces. The doors were a little complicated, but do-able. They are not magnetic doors unfortunately. They do not latch in any way.

You get what you pay for. Looks nice and is what I expected. The two cabinet doors don't stay closed all the way. There needs to be magnets or something and there isn't. I like it because it sits low and you can hang your tv a normal height and still have room to place frames on top.
