Lightweight Hydration with Strong Sun Defense
I’ve been using the Eucerin Sun Advanced Hydration SPF 50 sunscreen for a few weeks, and it’s become my go-to for daily facial protection. • Texture & Feel: The lotion goes on easily, absorbs quickly, and leaves no white cast. My skin feels hydrated—not greasy—which is a relief compared to other high-SPF sunscreens. • Protection: With SPF 50 and broad-spectrum UVA/UVB defense, I’m confident using it both indoors under windows and for short outdoor errands. Even after a 30-minute walk, my skin stayed comfortably protected. • Hydration: This really does hydrate—my skin stays smooth throughout the day, and I don’t feel tight or dry during afternoon hours like I did with other formulas. • Package & Use: The pump bottle dispenses evenly and is easy to travel with. A little goes a long way, and the scent is neutral—no strong chemical smell. Only tiny note: I do double-check coverage around my ears and neckline since it’s lotion and not spray. But all in all, this is a standout facial sunscreen—effective, comfortable, and hydrating. It’s earned a permanent spot in my skin-care routine.

The best American chemical sunscreen for me
This sunscreen has a lightweight texture that's easily spreadable and absorbable. During spreading I can smell a chemical odor but it's gone once the lotion is absorbed. This means the product is truly fragrance free, not just unscented which uses masking fragrance to cover up the bad smell of the sunblock agents. I am not bothered by the smell as it's not the smell of spoilage. The lotion feels light on the skin and not oily/greasy, but it does leave a glossy shine on the face. The shine will subside after a period of time. It's not as tacky as many sunscreens, and it's moisturizing. Best of all it causes no breakouts or irritation whatsoever. For those with fungal acne or fungal/yeast overgrowth issues this produce is the best you can get in the US for a chemical-only sunscreen. The spray version of this sunscreen is rated the best by Consumer Reports in terms of UV protection (for an American sunscreen that is) but reviews suggest clogging problems with the sprayer. I think this lotion form is better product. I can even decant it into a smaller opaque bottle for travel. I have used this sunscreen while hiking in hot and humid weather and it performed well. No eye irritation at all since I never put any sunscreen on my forehead or eye area. I rely on hats to protect my scalp and forehead and sunglasses to protect eyes and surrounding skin. I hope Eucerin will never change this formula or discontinue this product. Update: to combat the shiny look when using a large doze, I use a smaller amount of this product, which leaves just a little bit of glossy appearance, and when it dries apply a thin layer of Cotz Prime and Protect on top which effectively covers any shine and boost the SPF. With these 2 layers I have both chemical and physical sunblock agents and avoid the shine and white cast issue of each product if used in full doze. On the body I just use Eucerin alone.

Good coverage
Great sunscreen and when applied liberally my face doesn't get burnt. That has always been a problem with my skin all my life so I'm happy for that sort of coverage. The formula is a little greasy and there is a white caste but I use it to my advantage as it dims the red spots on my face and brightens my under eye. I try not to leave the house without applying.

I need double size tube
smooths on legs, arms and chest nicely while feeling moisturized. Good sun protection. Waiting for them to make one that doesnt run for the face while sweating. WHen it gets over 105 my eyelids start to sweat and if any brand sunscreen applied to forehead runs into my eyes, even the ones who claim it doesn't.. I use this product for body and their face formula for my face. I began to break out with Nutrigena dry lotion...unfortunately. That brand dries my skin out tho. This formula isnt uncomfortable to leave on after exposure. Keep skin well hydrated. LOVE this brands other products containing higher % of ceramides than CeraVe and their healing ointment is the best. (they should add antibiotic and sell ointment for cuts and abrasions). They used to make it, got samples at dermatology office. SO glad they are finally making more sunscreen options. They should offer 65+ a discount. They would sell out of product for older dry skin folks (who spend time in the garden) and sensitive skin folks. No fragrance.

Textura ligera y para nada grasoso
El protector es muy bueno, es de textura ligera y no se siente grasoso. Lo único que no me gusto es que hay que manejar la cantidad de producto y distribuirlo demasiado bien porque de lo contrario quedan residuos blancos.

“Don’t Change a Thing”
“Don’t Change a Thing” That’s what my dermatologist said to me about my skin care regimen a year after my facial chemo treatment for pre-cancerous cells (you’ll get no medical jargon from me, I’m a civilian). I’ve been applying Eucerin Sun Advanced Hydration SPF 50 Sunscreen Lotion since July 2022 on a daily basis. I originally began using it because I need to apply a sunscreen daily and had been struggling to find one that doesn’t Goth me out with white paste. This stuff goes on clear and easy, lasts for hours, and is without peer for sun protection (up to four hours on the summer beach without burning). But Eucerin Sun Advanced Hydration SPF 50 Sunscreen Lotion is not primarily a sunscreen, it has that coveted hyaluronic acid that is a key ingredient in many grossly overpriced skin care products, so it is an effective lotion that works to protect and improve my skin. A clean face, a little inexpensive Avon lotion (so I smell good after shaving), and the Eucerin is what works for me. Do your own research and simple experiments for what works for you and your skin. I’m staying with this. Good luck!

Expires in only 3 months so that's on seller "The MMC." Otherwise the sunscreen itself is great.
I split the difference on the rating: I would give only 1 star for seller "The MMC" because as others have experienced there is little time left before the product I received expires (3 months). I expect that to really matter on a product where you are relying on the strength of the ingredients to protect your skin. Otherwise I'd give a 5 rating for the sunscreen itself. I tried 3 different brands of mineral sunscreens in the last few years because I had become concerned about loading up my skin with chemicals. They were all a little "white hazy" but I am fair-skinned so once they were on about 20 minutes they weren't very noticeable. But I had to sit on a towel in my car to protect my upholstery and they all left faint white streaks on the armrests and window sills, and reapplying them later in the day was a pain when I had to worry about getting them on my clothes. The last straw came when Consumer Reports published their research showing very poor scores for all the mineral sunscreens they tested. So I reluctantly switched back to a chemical sunscreen and after some research I settled on this one - Eucerin Sun Advanced Hydration SPF 30. It fared decently in Consumer Reports ratings and the ingredients are rated "low hazard" by the Environmental Working Group. It is definitely a thinner lotion than most sunscreens but I've gotten used to it and now consider it a plus -- it's very quick and easy to apply and it absorbs fast. And it doesn't make a mess on my clothes when I reapply it. Some people have said that it's a little shiny on the skin and that's true. I should note that I use a different sunscreen just for my face and neck and I don't wear makeup anymore so that's not a factor for me. As far as sun protection goes, which is kind of the point, I spent over a week hiking in five national parks in the Utah sun at high altitude this past June and I did not get even a whisper of sunburn despite being fair-skinned. So the product did its job.
