The Paper Mate 0.5mm Clearpoint Mechanical Pencil is a high-quality and comfortable pencil to use compared to many other mechanical pencils I have used in the past. This mechanical pencil stands out to other pencils out there because of its convenient, comfortable, and clean build. Writing ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ : There are two versions of this mechanical pencil, the 0.5mm and the 0.7mm that can be purchased. This product is a review of the 0.5 mm lead. The two lead variations are different, though one is subjectively not better than the other. It is up personal preference on what is more comfortable and effective to write with. In my opinion, I use 0.5mm because it is much thinner and precise to write with, though it can break easily with high pressure. I had tried 0.7mm, which I recommend for people who prefer a bolder and a somewhat thicker line. Both are still good to write with and produce smooth, clean lines. Quality⭐⭐⭐⭐ [-]: The clearness of the pencil gives a clean look, and is also useful to check for the amount of lead lead left in the pencil, as well the wear of the eraser. The lead is durable hence "break-resistant", but of course it is not 100% strong and may break with higher pressure in writing. The downside of the grip is that it is rubber and thin, which may wear down and peel off overtime (few months), but that is because I use this to write daily. Features and Extras ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐: Like mentioned previously, the clear pencil gives a clean look, which also allows the view of the lead compartment inside the pencil. The twistable eraser is one significant feature for this pencil as many other pencils sold dont have this. The eraser can easily be retracted when not in use, which prevents it from getting weared down and dirty. To refill, just pull the twistable mechanism, which allows you to put lead in the opening of the lead compartment. The product comes with two of the mechanical pencils, two extra eraser (are effective in erasing and last greatly), and extra lead, which is worth to buy if you want to invest in a high-quality, comfortable, and effective mechanical pencil. To conclude, this mechanical pencil (two included) is worth the price for even just the pencils itself. The erasers and extra lead are very helpful to have. I'd say this is the best mechanical pencil I've come across for its price and quality that I have used, especially the 0.5mm variation. The only downside being the grip (though is still usable even if it comes off fully), I'll be giving this product 5 stars and will more likely consider to buy the Paper Mate 0.5mm Clearpoint Mechanical Pencil if I ever need new replacements. Very break resistant, but still possible to break with too much pressure. In general, it is better than the other pencils I bought and very comfortable.

Originally bought these around 5 years ago, they still in excellent condition, but I recently gave both of them to friends and family to try. They all ended up loving the pencils, so I decided to repurchase a pack for myself once again! I cannot recommend these enough! I am not a huge fan of the regular Papermate Clearpoints everyone uses, but these are much more slim and robust. They are my very favorite pencils to draw and write with by far. Despite being slim, the weight distribution is very comfortable, and the large erasers are very high quality. Lastly, the anti-breaking spring feature of the led dispenser works very well. One of my heavy-handed family members saw minimal breakage when using.
