Love the way hub notifies you with loud voice.

Already had the regular hub. But wanted the personalized voice notification and warning feature of this hub. Added this as a second hub to my system, and it does not interfere with or break the connections of devices paired with the first hub. Use it mostly for the voice notification feature. Automations to deliver voice notifications are easy to set up if you follow available online instruction videos. Like how you can type in your own personalized notifications, and it speaks them clearly without any problem. Adjustable volume level, with the loudness being more than adequate to be heard at a distance. Connects by Wi-Fi only, but also found this easy to configure. Very happy with this purchase.

I bought this so I can be notified where water leaks are happening immediately even if I don't have my phone in my pocket. Technically I can also use Alexa or Google Nest to do the same thing, but I don't want those in my bedroom for privacy reasons. But I also find this is superior for emergency notifications. You can easily set it up to blast a loud emergency tone followed by a custom message and have it repeat multiple times all from a single screen, e.g. "BEEP!! Water Leak detected at Kitchen Sink BEEP!! Water Leak detected at Kitchen Sink".I was worried I would have issues with this hub because when you're setting it up via the mobile app your phone needs to be connected to your wifi via 2.4 GHz. My phone is always connected to my wifi at 5 GHz. Other routers allow you to temporarily disable 5 GHz to setup IoT devices but Google Wifi lacks such a feature.There's a simple trick to get your phone to connect to your Google Wifi on 2.4 GHz. The 2.4 GHz band is longer range than 5 GHz. I simply walked outside my home until I lost connection to my wifi and then walked back a few steps until it connected. On Android if you open the Wifi "Network Details" you can confirm it's 2.4 GHz. Then I just completed the setup per the Quick Start guide. It helped that I had my wife standing by the door to hold the set button down while I was outside on the phone! Then I simply moved the Speaker Hub to the desired location in the home and it automatically connects back to the wifi no problem.

Audible & text alert are instantaneous. Email alert lags quite some time behind. It's a minor thing and all in all a good product. Beware, connecting to network can be q bit quirky and stubborn at times during initial setup but after that smooth sailing.Can't comment on leak detection because I unfortunately purchased this after my water heater ruined part of my floor. Same with battery life. I simply haven't owned this product long enough.

I have over 100 YoLink devices now. These devices are brilliant. They are (by far) the least expensive brand of home automation products, have a MUCH longer range than all others, and simply work perfect - all of the time. This company is going places. I've reached out to their customer support (open 7 days per week and staffed by real humans!) and they have solved my minor setup queries instantly. I just don't have enough good things to say about this company. If you're thinking about switching to YoLink - DO IT! I was paid nothing for this review - I simply love this company. Bravo YoLink!

The SpeakerHub announces when a sensor has been triggered. This has tremendous value when you are within hearing range of the hub and 1) cannot receive or see your phone for SMS or email notifications or 2) you are not a user of the YoLink App. For example, you have gate sensors on your property but it is night and your are asleep. The SpeakerHub would alert you to an intruder. It will speak the description of the sensor and optionally sound an alert tone. It can be repeated up to 3 times with a volume level you set. It can also be programmed to do this during a time window you set. Another occupant, e.g., your wife, a guest, your kids, etc., who don't have the App on their phone, would hear the alert. This could apply to a gate sensor or water leak sensor or any other YoSmart sensor.I bought two if these for my home. I have one in my living room/kitchen area that is always enabled. The other is in my bedroom enabled on a schedule during sleeping hours.I live on an acre with multiple entry gates. If someone is on my prop, especially during night hours, they are probably up to no good. I'd rather know before they can do harm.BTW, to use two or more SpeakerHubs, you will need to program the "Automation" feature in the App. This is not difficult. YoSmart has a video tutorial for this. I recommend watching all the video tutorials that apply to you equipment and setting up everything in front of you before you install. Label the sensors so you can keep track of which is which.YoSmart is the first company, after years of looking online, to offer an outdoor, waterproof, gate sensor with truly long-range wireless communication. Not only am I on 1 acre but my prop slopes downhill from my house. The gate sensors 150' away and down the hill communicate consistently with the YoLink Hub.I use Energizer lithium batteries (2 AA) in the gate sensors because they don't leak and are much longer lasting than any alkaline AA battery.The variety of sensors made by this company is extensive. Where I don't already have in-place sensors and Apps by other companies, I will now consolidate by using YoSmart sensors only. There are some YoSmart leak detection sensors in my future.
