The 5Pcs DRV8833 Motor Drive Module is a compact, dual H-bridge motor driver board designed for DIY smart cars and robots. Supporting 3-10V input and delivering up to 1.5A per channel, it drives dual DC geared motors or 4-wire stepper motors with built-in protections including overcurrent, short circuit, undervoltage lockout, and overtemperature safeguards. Its low power sleep mode enhances energy efficiency, making it an essential component for professional-grade robotics projects.

These work well and I have no issues with them but as shown in the picture the pins do need to be soldered. They are provided.

Works great! Difficult to assemble straight.

I didn't like that the chip is not DRV8833 but rather HR8833. It does seem to behave the same as DRV8833. Although the chip has 16 pins, only 12 of those pins are broken out. The other four are not usually used but if you need to use them, this module won't work for that. I needed a motor controller to handle small 3 V motors. LM298 doesn't work with only 3 V. I tested this module at 3V and was able to control the speed through PWM in both forward and reverse. I doubt the 1.5 A claim but the motor I tested only used a fraction of that. For how long it will last, only time will tell. But it did satisfy my need to control these small 3V motors with PWM speed control both in forward and reverse. I gave one star off for not shipping what was pictured.

In Tasmota set a GPIO to 'Relay' or 'PWM' and connect the board. No special library or special compilation needed. With Micro/Circuit Python set a pin as a standard 'Output' or 'PWM'. - Can be controlled with with 3.3v logic microprocessors like the ESP32. - Worked fine driving 5v 3W current to a 6v peristaltic pump (a DC motor). - PWM workes well too. Have not tried driving less than 5v and only used it for a few days.
