This gate does exactly what it says it will do. It unrolls to create a cloth barrier in a doorway opening and will retract back. This isn't designed to babysit your kids or pets. It's designed to help give you a little more control. The ones saying this is not good because their kid or dog got under it...teach them not to do it rather than give the product a bad review.

Was hesitant to purchase because of the 72 inch width as I needed 74, as you can see from the pics it can reach 77 inches. Now this is to just keep the dogs on the deck so not sure of strength if you have kids as I believe 72 is the safety standard. Have only had up for a day, easy to install. Only negative so far is that sometimes it winds back up funny.

I attached it to my bedroom door frame. It helps keep the dog in my room and the children out while I’m cleaning the bedroom.I love that you are given two sets of brackets so you can move the gate as needed.Super easy to install. The kit come with a paper guide so you know the spacing.

We didn't like the fact that our small dog was able to easily go under gate. Or fact large dogs could put paws on gate mesh and put a run ( like panty hose) in mesh gate designed to keep dogs out. It fails to do what it's intended for.Also, twice, when pulling gate out of retractable hardware installed onto wall, the gate came flying out & hurt my foot that it landed on.Very disappointed that a product which advertises it is intended for baby and dogs, is unreliable.Another issue is when it retracted it would wrinkle on an angle as it does not properly retract straight on (evenly) back onto hardware mechanism.I consider this product a poor value for the price I paid, which is why I'm returning it.

What a piece of garbage! I have other gates for my grand kids but wanted a retractable one. This is so cheap that I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Huge hazard if your trying to protect your children. The manufacturer should be ashamed of selling garbages like this.
