The lamp socket is in the attic, and the remote control is on the wall down below. No issues with reception.Construction, quality, & electrical connectivity are solid. I should have bought one of these years ago.

We have a shed at the far corner of our back yard. Walking out to it after dark is perilous, so we wanted to add an outdoor light. A motion detector wasn't appealing because of all the critters that would set it off (as happens with the motion detector on our garage light). This gizmo sounded promising, so I ordered one.It works perfectly! We can turn the light on from inside the house, about 70 feet away. We haven't tried the timer function.It adds about three inches to the length of the socket, so we selected a fixture with plenty of room and a small LED bulb, though there's room for a full-sized bulb if needed.It isn't often that I find an item that provides so much utility for less than ten bucks. Recommended if your fixture has room for it!

Got this for my dad so he can control the overhead light from bed. Has worked great. The reciever is large and does not work with some shades because of its size but otherwise no issues.

Works well, however may not fit inside of lamp shade harp. I had to use a plug to socket and socket to plug to use with the lamp.

This was just what I was looking for. The switch for my garage is not close to the garage door and I wanted a way to turn on the light without going to one side of the room and then to the other for my garage door.It was easy to install and works great! The ability to set a timer for the light is an added bonus.One note though, the switch does not come with batteries, 2x AAA, or screws to attach the holder to the wall.

Every night i lay on my bed watching netflix till i get sleepy i don't like getting up to turn the light off this remote control solved it!

This item is a piece of junk. The E socket is tenuous thin metal. Just screwing bulbs in 2 or 3 times seemed to wear it out, and the contact was bad. It failed in the utility room twice. Just stopped after I intended to leave on all night. Tried it with a lamp indoors. Did not work at all. The remote induced a clicking sound but no light. A good idea for a useful product, but not American quality.

Bought in January, not functioning properly by December. Other than that, it was working great!

The range is no where near what is advertised. Also does not work half of the time.
