I've reviewed this once before but it appears my review came up missing because I'm being asked to review it again.I bought this to go on a presentation box for a friend of mine. I didn't even bother to use the screws that came with it, they were cast, for Gods' sake. The hinges were OK, not great, but got the job done. The clasp on the other hand had sprue over the holes where the mold didn't seal, I ended up having to drill that out. Spend a little more and get something nicer.

Ordered because I broke the lid off a beautiful wooden box from China...this worked great to repair the lid and enable normal open/close functions. It's also nice looking.

Unfortunately the latch was very hard to move. The second time it moved it broke. Made out of base metal. Did not order a replacement out of concern it would happen again. Excellent return policy.

Very poor quality material! The screws, despite my drilling the proper depth and diameter pilots holes, broke! A jewelry box I was making has now been ruined due to the extremely poor quality of the materials. I would appreciate it greatly if Amazon would stop selling this junk in my country!

I do not recommend this product. The latch did not aligned with the hole in the peg. Very poorly made. Hinges were very flimsy.

I got these for my husband urn. They are elegant. Purfect!

Perfect size for a shadow box I constructed. The screws that came with the latch however went straight through the holes, and I had to use the left over screws from the hinges to secure it tightly. Was very pretty though.

So it looks great, I got the set for a card box I’m making for my wedding. When I received it and tried to move the latch it was almost impossible. I finally got it to move a little but that would not be a practical thing to secure a box you would want to have a functional latch on. So I returned it.

I was expecting this to be kind of flimsy but it isn't. I haven't installed it yet so I can't speak for durability during use. It seems to be a decent product to me.

Will work and will look great on a small box

The only good thing about the order was the shipping. The product was very poor quality. One piece was bent. And my hands smelled terrible after handling the items.
