I really like this brush
I really like this brush. It's so densely packed that it barely absorbs any product, and because it's a big brush it only takes about 10 seconds to apply my foundation to my whole face, whereas my beauty blender would take approximately 2 minutes and absorb about half of the product. This brush will save me so much money that after 1 bottle of foundation it will have paid for itself because I only have to use 1 pump instead of 2 like I did with my beauty blender. I've washed it a few times and it hasn't shed at all. It can take a long time to dry (since the bristles are so dense) so I don't wash it unless I know I won't need it for about 48 hours. So if you're someone who likes to wash their foundation brushes between each use, get different brush. Or you could get two of these since they're so inexpensive. I had to take off 1 star because the handle is flimsy. Even though the flimsy handle can be easily remedied by holding the brush by the head, I didn't want to give it a perfect rating because it isn't perfect. That being said, it truly is the best foundation brush I've ever used, and I will recommend this brush to every woman in my life.

New popular brushes that do the job for less!
These new makeup brushes are all over social media. I see everyone raving about them and was so impressed with the makeup videos people were posting using these brushes. So I just had to jump on the bandwagon. To find that the brand name brushes were SO expensive was disappointing. But I found this Kingstar brand only charging $15 for 5 brushes and had to buy them!-First impression: They came in a nice box that would make a perfect gift set. And each have a nice glossy black handle. The brush itself has very fine and ultra smooth fibers! It was so soft. And they were tightly packed together with high density amount of fibers ideal for applying a creamy foundation on top.-Using these: I dotted my face with dots of foundation cream and used the largest brush to spread the make up. Was impressed at how soft it felt. And it spread so evenly throughout my face! This was definitely easier than using my makeup sponge. And far better than using your fingers. the smoothness of the brush felt so nice and blended the foundation perfectly. I found the smaller brushes are much better with concealer and creams to contour my face.Because the handles are vertical, they are made so you can apply makeup to yourself rather than the traditional makeup brushes that are used horizontally and are designed so others can apply make up to someone else.Only con: I didn't like how the handle on the larger brush felt flimsy and too flexible when using it. As if the head of the brush was too heavy for the handle. But this isn't a big of a problem to me as long as it doesn't break on me.Definitely recommend this instead of spending a crazy amount of money on something that can do the same job well for less. Also will be gifting a set in the future for my friends who love makeup.

So far, a pleasant plush dupe for the $60 Artis Oval 7
I hate admitting this, but I do watch Youtube beauty guru videos. One of the queens, Tati, has been touting the Artis Oval 7 brush, for which this brush is a dead-on dupe (save the handle, which I'll get to in a bit.) Now Tati pretty much loves anything high end and expensive, and while $60 for a brush is all that pricey - the cost of the Artis brush - I wasn't willing to jump off that bridge just yet. I also hated the idea that a brush like this could make my already significant brush investment worthless.I've seen the dupe for the Artis brush being mass produced in China, so I picked this one, which seemed to be the best of the lot via reviews, and one of the more inexpensive brushes. I really didn't know what to expect, but I was very pleasantly surprised!First, the brush is nicely made; I'd say even for a brush made in China, but the Chinese have been surprising me lately with the quality of some of their products. This brush comes back safely in a box, so the dense bristles are protected. The feel of the dense bristles is simply amazing! It's like velour on your face! I have some expensive soft brushes, and none were as soft as this Chinese knockoff!Second, how it applies foundation. Tati goes on about how fast it is, and that is true. I've never done my foundation this quickly in my life. It makes the liquid spread quickly and delivers a flawless finish. The other thing is that because the brushes are so dense, you aren't wasting product by it sinking into the center of the brush head. I've heard some ladies claim this will save money, but to be honest, most women buying these kind of things are makeup junkies like me, and saving money is never the first thing on our minds! Now to the iffy stuff: the handle feels somewhat flimsy. Not as flimsy as a recent bold metals brush I got from Real Techniques (that was about the cheapest-feeling brush handle I ever felt), but you can definitely tell the money is in the brush head here, and not the handle. I'm not hard on my brushes, and I don't use a lot of pressure with them, so I can't imagine anything untoward happening, like the brush head snapping off. The handle isn't THAT flimsy. It'd just be a more perfect brush if a few more cents was added to make the handle more firm. But for the most part, the balance between handle and brush isn't bad, and the quality and decadent softness of the brush head more than makes up for that niggling little detail. Now I haven't washed it yet, so I can't say if it's going to get scratchy (I kind of doubt that; if it does, just use a little hair conditioner on the bristles and rinse it out. That'll soften it right back up.)So far, though, I'm really pleased (I should thank Tati, at least for the idea, if not for her expensive tastes!) For the money, this brush is definitely worth the price.
