With 290 pages of questions and the answers at the back of the book this practice set covers a huge range of advanced questions. As this is the higher level workbook the questions are graded from 4 – 9. Easier grades are covered in the foundation workbook. It’s important to know which exam board your school uses, though I suspect there are many common questions across the testers. There are 6 Biology topics, 10 Chemistry and 7 for Physics. It’s the same topics as the foundation book , just testing to a greater depth of knowledge. There is also a collection of mixed questions When used with a revision guide your child will have a lot of support for GCSE combined science exams.

My son is taking GCSE Computer Science and this workbook is absolutely perfect for him to be using for revision. Be aware, it is only a workbook, not a revision book so it only has questions and answers in it and not actual revision notes. There are seven sections - algorithms, programming, design and testing, data representation, computer systems and databases, networks and issues. There is a wide range of questions, ranging from easy to harder with total marks possible for each question listed. This will help anyone studying this subject out so much in preparation not just for their exams but for the 2 GCSE years working towards them. Great value for money!

'...using a CPU with a large cache capacity' sounds pretty intense to me, and this revision book is full of this stuff. It also has answers! Wonderful. It is a great study material for either revision or learning altogether. Your child can take every single question and turn it into a research project, and learn this way. A wonderful study material overall.

My son is using these for his mock GCSE exams and he's finding this really good to test where he's up to with his knowledge, what he still needs to revise and where the gaps are. This going to be so useful for now but also for the build up next year to the actual GCSE.
