This machine does the job great. However, the grommets it comes with are terrible. The smaller grommet piece isn't big enough to catch the other grommet and falls off. Recommend buying grommets in addition to this press.

I thought this press would work with the biothane material that I purchased it for, because I was lead to believe it would work with thick leather. I was wrong. Neither a hole punch die or a rivet tool would work with biothane that's approximately 1/8" thick. So, I had to return the press and dies because it wouldn't work whatsoever. I think these presses work with fabrics and thin products but not for what I needed. I'd advise checking out what you intend it for.

My sweet husband bought this for me because I need a rivet press. This doesn't come out of the box a rivet press. It is a grommet press- but it can be a rivet press, you just have to purchase the other pieces.

It works, but not with class. The finish work is not good at all (ok, it's terrible), and one of the anvils is too long so it protrudes out the bottom. Drill a 1/2" hole in a 2x6 mounting base and it should work out ok. Snip off the casting sprues and sand them smooth. The handle is bent like a rainbow, but again; it functions.

The metal it’s made from isn’t that great, but if you mounted it and use it with a little care it’s like all tools you got to take care of them, it works better than hand one I bought it will bend easily, not good for portable,heavy.

Despite no instructions on how to use punch, saw YouTube video & went to use it. The small & large punch worked great but the medium punch was defective. Only clamped half the gromnet, leaving exposed sharp edges. Tried rotating the defective grommets on punch but the exposed sharp edge would allow me to reposition on the punch. Punch itself seemed very sturdy but didn’t work on all the 3 sizes.
