Move to 2.35:1 screen has been awesome...
After purchasing a new projector that allowed me to memorize zoom and focus, etc, for different aspect ratios, I decided to move from a 106" 16 by 9 retractable screen to this 125" 2.35:1 screen. I can now zoom most movies out to fill the height and width of the screen (no black bars) since most of the time we watch movies in our home theater. We don't watch cable/TV at all in this room. All I can say is... WOW!!! The immersion factor when watching epic movies on this scale has been incredible. I could never go back. The only downside is that normal 16 by 9 movies no longer fill the screen on each side. But we can mask that if needed. The screen came in a reasonably small box about four feet long and was well packed... no damage at all. The frame is twice as long and has to be assembled with basic tools. I found this to be very intuitive overall and took about 90 minutes because I wanted to be very careful with sharp edges around the screen material. The screen itself is held on with heavy duty Velcro around the entire edge on the back side and does a great job of holding the material tight and wrinkle free. Overall, it was pretty easy to assemble, although the instructions were obviously designed to be used with different size screens (e.g. the 125" had two upright support bars in the frame, not one as shown in the instructions.) The screen is intended to hang directly on a wall and I'm sure the brackets supplied would have been fine. I ended up mounting mine in front of black curtains so I needed to fabricate some 9" braces to make the screen 'float' in front of the folds of the curtains. Overall, more work than expected but the result is fabulous. This screen is perhaps more money than some alternatives out there, especially for a fixed frame, but you can certainly pay a lot more as well. I thought it was a good combination of value and performance for an screen that has no black edge on it.

Blotchy Screen
Good screen but noticed some very noticeable big imperfections in the middle of the screen. Very distracting during bright scenes. It's almost like splotches from a bad paint job. Not small dots but big marks...a foot or so long. Too bad...otherwise would have been great. Update: unsatisfactory customer support. Downgrading from 2 stars to 1 star. I will buy my next screen from another

Top notch
Excellent screen. Great quality. Although they initially shipped me the wrong screen, I got the correct within two days.

Looks great and instructions are very good.
I will start with my only real complaint which I have seen others post. Now that it is on the wall, one side sticks out a bit, but I think it was my fault in trying to lift it on my own and then realizing that my screws were not tight enough. I am sure I bent it a bit and then tightened it down that way. The 180' is a bit hard to maneuver even though it is not heavy. It looks great and the picture looks great as well. I am having trouble deciding if I want to add the included trim. Price is a bit steep but there weren't a lot of options for permanent screens this size. I would recommend it!

Beautiful screen, assembly is a pain
First of all, get the screen. Don’t let my complaining about the assembly detail you. I’m not handy, so it might be me. Screen looks bright and immediately made my old projector look better than ever. I was still waiting for my new one to arrive, but enjoyed the screen even with the old projector. Once the new projector arrived, it was marvelous! I was concerned the 1.3 reflectivity might produce a hot spot, but my picture is well-balanced with even lighting. I believe any fixed screen is going to be an installation nightmare. I got the 165” version, and it has 58 little springs to attach around the frame. The tool provided to grab the springs has a “handle” that is essentially a key ring, and the thin metal ring kept unwinding from the tension produced from pulling against it. Some sections of the screen overlapped the frame farther than others, which wasn’t the end of the world until it came time to attach the trim. The tension rods in some areas covered the screw holes for the trim, complicating installation. And if you think you’re going to want to remove all the springs, adjust the stretch, etc., you’re delusional. So, I’ll admit that a couple new holes were drilled that night, and if you climb a ladder, you might find tape holding the top corner of the trim pieces together, since the screw holding one piece popped out after it was on the wall. (It had been a tight fit getting it in, but it popped out later, and I was just not going there again.) But that one night of raw-hands pain-in-my-a** I’m-never-getting-another-one-of-these-again consternation aside, I love my screen. I’ll get over the installation with further counseling.

Wow espectacular.

Product: 120 inch, Grey Screen, Type Z (Velvet bezels) So I do not write reviews generally but this product is so bad that I am forced to write this. First things first, the YouTube reviews for this product are wrong, either most of them are paid or gloss over the painful process you have to go through to assemble this. The instructions are not clear. This is coming from someone who assembles pretty much everything on his own. The corners shown in my pictures simply won't fold properly. The included spring tool is a piece of garbage. The holes on the bezels will not align to the frame. The center support bar does nothing - why it even there? I tried contacting the customer service - no one picks up at any time. It is entirely usess. I won't wish this on my worst enemy. Eventually I contacted Amazon and they sent me a replacement. Despite very clearly explaining the problem - they sent me the same exact product, with the same exact problems. Both have been returned. That is another pain one has to go through. It is not the easiest thing to pack and return. Do not buy this. You will spend 8 hours trying to figure what is wrong and end up fighting with your spouse.

I purchased the edge free frame. What was sent was a very think (2 to 3 in) velvet border. Amazon/elitescreen described it as edgefree with a .4 bezel. After returning and re-ordering, it came with the .4 bezel. What I don't like, it's still velvet. I would have preferred a metal or Matt hard plastic bezel look. I'm going back and forth with elite customer service right now on the bezel material sent. Conclusion, I will be returning my second screen. Elite screen customer service is the worse I've come across. Specifically Vivian and Kimmii gave no resolution. After explaining to them multiple times they still waisted my time on putting two of these screens together. Incompetent, will be taking my business elsewhere.

Missing parts. Amazon can’t help but ask us to return it. The screen took 2 hours to install when noticed parts missing, now will take 2 more hours to uninstall and then package to return!!! Waste of time!
